Samantha had a brief glimpse of a large cluttered room before being flung to her knees. She let out a cry of pain at the hard impact. Well, at least I'm not mute anymore. I still can't believe we didn't suspect Desmond. But why, why would he do this? And where the heck am I?

Standing up slowly, her bruised knees throbbing , Samantha looked around. She seemed to be in some kind of a tower room dimly lit by sputtering torches. The stone walls curved, and featured two porthole windows. The room resembled a messier version of Sinclair's workspace back on the island, with books and bottles and other junk strewn about. Turning to look some more, she gasped, because there stood Desmond talking to Melisante.

Samantha went rigid with shock, still unable to believe that all along, Desmond had been the traitor in cahoots with Melisante. Wait until Sinclair finds out! Then reality set in. How could she tell her new husband when he didn't know who took her or where to look?
