Chương 16: The vision

Cassie, stirred in her sleep. She was having a vision and Alan knew this, so instead of warning Sunny beforehand he allowed sunny to deal with the issue himself. Which he did at a better level than he thought he would, Alan didnt expect the boy to comfort her. Especially since he knew what he was like back in the forgotten shore, he was a cynical man back then who would eventually warm up to the idea of making friends and gaining peoples trust.

Alan thought back to the vision, he didnt remember the vision all that well since he had read the forgotten shore back then he remembered it well but now, well the same cant be said for now.

The most he remembered was that she saw people, lots of them in a castle to the west. But she should'nt have screamed right?, this confused Alan he thought she would only end up screaming when she saw the vision of 'Shadows devouring a dying Angel' which wouldnt happen until later on in the arc.

This made alan think the vision had came earlier than it should have, which is both bad and good. One thing would be is it would speed up the arcs progression and would result in them getting out faster, or atleast he hoped so..

Or it could speed up Sunnys enslavement which was a no go, if that happened Alan feared he too would lose his freedom since they were technically the same, two souls inhabiting one body.

This was a boon and a curse for the two since their strength would be doubled of a normal awakened, but in the end if sunny ended up slaved then Nephis would find out about Alan which was a no go.

While Alan racked his thoughts Cassie was explaining her vision,

From what Sunny could hear she described it as 'Shadows devouring an Angels carcass whilst someone observers from above' This was obviously about sunny and Alan, a shadow and an observer couldnt be more obvious. and the angel was definitley nephis.

But one thing plagued sunny, why was he devouring her carcass. She didnt mean literally right?., Cant be.

He wasnt a cannibal after all. Right?.

he hoped.

The vision was a cause for major concern it would seem nephis had understood its hidden meaning, she didnt like the insinuation that shed die so she gave sunny a scornfull look and began to ask cassie if she had seen anything else to which she had agreed,

she began to go into detail, there was a war people lots of people but they werent just killing nightmare creatures there were people dying by others hand. Blood coated the sands as a crimson spire stood feverently in the open, above it was a man firing arrows and below was a young girl who was fighting against a horde of nightmare creatures by herself.

Death was everywhere on this battle field.

And it worried them., what was to come in the future for them and for those they met i the future.

But there was people! and lots of them which meant there was a citadel nearby.

"Cass which direction was this battlefield?" Sunny questioned, a complex look on his face he knew that whatever direction this battle was is where they had to go.

"this way" she pointed west,

"uhmm, Cass thats where i came from and theres swarms of nightmare creatures that way, like loads of them." Sunny added in concern.

At this the girls face looked sad?

"oh"

in an attempt to cheer her up sunny spoke, "but me and neph are strong right, we arent ranked 1 and 2 for no reason!". She let out a small giggle.

She knew she was in safe hands yet the vision irked her, she didnt want to see her two friends become enemies.

In the end they headed to bed and had a final night of rest, now they had a destination for their travels.

and tomorrow they would head west, towards the citadel.
