Chương 19: a journey
the night came and went, and the three began their way down the cliff toward the next piece of land, sunny had scouted prior to their descent of the cliff so he knew where he was going.
Through his shadow he saw what would seem to be remains of a leviathon its tall skeletal body was massive it towered atleast over 600 feet in height and went on for as far as the eye can see in width. It would be hard to miss.
Now that Sunny and the trio had descended the cliff they would have to try and survive the day!, As they set off the began back into the crimson labyrinth and headed to what they assumed was west.
Weaving through each piece of coral as swiftly as they could the trio found themselves at a dead end, Slithering and chittering sounds could be heard from within the coral.
Suddenly as if they had walked into a trap large millipede looking beasts flowed out of the crevices in the coral, They were lomger than they were tall with strong chitinous scales encasing them like an exoskeleton.
Strong mandibles pierced forth from their mouths, once strike from those things would be their end. At this Alan summoned his sword golden swarms of dust formed into the familiar blade and Sunny grasped it in his palm.
He willed his shadow which was surveying to come back and enhance his sword, it would be a while before he would get the shadow back so he had to stall.
Nephis had also began to prepare for the fight, summoning her beautiful sword and getting into a fightning stance. She suddenly lunged, the air was pierced and it screamed in accordance to her movements which were sharp and controlling.
If Sunny had learnt one thing while watchig Neph fight it was that he didnt want to be on the recieving end of her battle art, he did not want to suffer the same fate as the nightmare creatures which had perished by Nephs hand.
Sunny readied the sword and began after her, trying to envision what she would do next and impliment it into his own fighting style. Alan suggested this and he seemed to know what he was doing so Sunny hesitantly but ultimately agreed to this, it stung him it was like throwing himself away just to be more effective in the battlefield.

In alans Pov he felt like a mastermind, with him essentially forcing Sunny to unlock his Aspect legacy sooner so that he could get stronger faster, Alan felt this was neccessary so that he could kill stronger beasts and gain more strength to eventually try and save Nephis from having to wander ther forgotton shore and try to find a nightmare seed.
He found himself mentally smirking at his mental abilites, he then previewed his runes before the fight began. He had inticipated the fight would begin soon though the story had sped up from usual he was still fated to encounter the slimey critters.
When they had encountered them, he had immediatley summoned the sword and began to sit back and watch the fight.
It was sight to behold light and darkness moving in 'semi-unison' to defeat the enemies before them, a swirl of white and black flew around the battlefieled as one out skilled the beasts and the other brute forced his way through the beast's .
There was about 30 of the beasts, and not long after they revealed themselves their number was no more than 10. They had swiftly dealt with the beasts even faster than Alan had realised he was shocked, sunny was improving fast which was good, he may even have a 3rd core of his own by the end of this visit to the dream realm.
If he had the same progression as Sunny he would also have formed a third core making six in one body, a theoretical terror!!.

The fight was coming to its climax Sunny had killed many of the monsters in clean swipes, black blood coated his sword which was quickly dismissed. The beasts had corrosive acid sacs within them, Sunny learnt this the hard way as he had the acid seep into his skin creating a large burn on the top of his hand.
'Ouch!!, what in the spell was that stuff'
"That was corrosive acid which came from the sac in its body" Alan swiftly replied, To which sunny pulled a satisfied look. He finally knew what had harmed him which provided him a little solace.
'I see' sunny replied.
Sunny then panned his head to nephis and gave her a look of admiration, Watching her fight was like observing a choreographed dance.
"You should harvest those sacks Sunny" Alan asked which garnered a questioning thought from the boy to which Alan decided to explain.
"You wont encounter a demon and these sacs of acid cant be mixed which wont produce fire and this wont help you defeat the beast" He spoke utilising his flaw, since sunny knew what his flaw did he should be ble to reverse what he said to figure out the acid sacs use.
Which he did, apparently being together in the same body for a while promotes a sort of understandng between people.
And Alan took full advantage of this,
When they harvested the sacs they decided to begin west again.
A long arduos journey was encountered without much issue, they would eventually arrive at the behemoths corpse and make their camp in the spine of the beast.
Sunny looked to nephis and began to speak a question, he had planned to request her assistance in teaching him how to use the sword properly.
"Hey.. Neph, can you teach me? i mean the sword you could probably tell im not the greatest with the thing. I have ony just got it after all!" He added his hand finding its way to the back of his head where he ruffled his hair in a sort of embarrassed gesture.
"Sure" Neph replied swiftly.

Alan's mind raced.
'huh'
'shouldnt she want payment?'
'Why was she so quick to accept'
His thoughts chased themselves around his mind as he spun himself into a web of delusion.
'Is she in love with Sunny!!!'

Im not the best at all probably the worst at creating conversations.
In the whole two worlds actually.
Yeah to those of you who actually still read this you have my thanks as per the usual there will be a second chapter today.
I do appreciate any ideas you may have for this fic aswell.
