Chương 149: A Relevation

"What is wrong, baby?" Noel held Emilia's shoulder with one hand while he gently tried to wipe her tear with the other. Before he could wipe it away, however, Emilia swatted at his hand and growled," Don't touch me! I am not your 'baby'. I don't need you to be worried for me!"

Once again Emilia raced down the path, but this time with almost deadly consequences as she ran to the middle of the road. Swearing, Noel quickly followed her and pulled her out of the path of an oncoming vehicle which swerved at the last moment as the driver cursed at them.

This time, Noel was not gentle. Quickly, he picked up Emilia as if she was a little baby and carried her back towards the car. The girl struggled and tried but was no match for Noel's superior strength.

Once he had reached the car, he quickly placed her on the hood of his car and caught her wrists in his hand as he said," Either you tell me what is wrong or..."

Emilia stared at him and snapped her mouth shut.
