Chương 36: Tutu

While waiting for dinner, Han Ye was checking on his investment in the stock market using his smartphone.

"Hmm… Yuan Company's shares dropped according to what President Du said and it's exactly as he predicted... Almost 20% in one week… Luckily I sold off my shares before that…" muttered Han Ye as he checked all the news relating to the companies that he invested in.

Ever since he worked at Du Corporation, he had been paying close attention to the companies that DX invested in. The truth was that DX's insights and seriously scary and accurate predictions were worth more than what Han Ye could find on his own.

Using his own ability, he could find out most things. However, the things he could find out were often news that was already known at least by a small group of people. On the other hand, the information that DX obtained actually came from various sources.

Thankfully, despite his bad reputation as a cold person, DX was not a selfish boss. He would often discuss matters with his staff and hoped that his staff could understand the meaning behind those discussions. Most people would not understand it, but Han Ye always knew what DX was trying to say and he would take note of everything.

After working for DX for more than a decade, Han Ye had amassed a fortune that qualified him as a multi-millionaire. In fact, with his knowledge now, he could have chosen to retire. However, despite the long hours and the cold pranks by his boss, he enjoyed working for the man. He did not know when, but he no longer worked for the money nowadays.

Not to say he did not enjoy getting money though. He had to provide for Tian Le nowadays and the fees at Imperial High was not a small sum. Han Ye and Lu ZiYan never complained about it, and they were the ones who wanted Tian Le to get the best education that money could afford.

Both of them came from a poorer background and in their youth, they had to work hard for everything. Han Ye spent most of his time working and neglected his wife which led to many fights. One of which eventually led her to storm off with the car which then resulted in a major accident from which she was declared brain dead.

As for Lu ZiYan, he made an even grievous mistake in his youth; one that he had never forgive himself for. Even though the victim in his mistake had forgiven him, he himself had never been able to forgive himself.

Thus, now that they were the teenager's older foster brothers, they hoped that they could give Tian Le a better life; one where Tian Le could live comfortably without having to fight for every penny.

Just as Han Ye was about to check on Du Corporation's share price, a cute toddler ran over and hugged his one of his thighs. She was only wearing a Totoro long-sleeved shirt and a diaper.

"Han Ye~" Little Monkey smiled and she raised her hands up.

Han Ye immediately placed his phone back into his pocket before reaching down to pick her up. He lightly tossed her up in the air and when he caught the giggling toddler, he asked, "Young Lady, where are your pants?"

"Here!" Jack came out holding a pair of light grey pants in one of his hands. He was still wearing his swimming trunks which had already dried off, but the Nirvana t-shirt that he had pulled over to keep himself warm was slightly wet. No doubt he had a war in the bathroom when he was bathing his little sister earlier.

Jack walked over with a scowl and tapped Little Monkey's nose with a finger before he said sternly, "No kicking your big brother when he's trying to help you put on pants."

Little Monkey shook her head and stuck out her tongue at her brother before she said defiantly, "No wear pants!"

"You can't just run around without pants. It's cold at night!" Jack pointed out and took one of her legs. He was trying to put the pants on her.

However, Little Monkey kicked her legs and turned around to hug Han Ye's neck tightly as she cried, "Noooo!"

"Mummy's going to scold you again if you don't wear any pants!"

When she turned back to look at her brother, Little Monkey had tears running down her cheeks. She patted her waist and said sadly, "Tutu! Tutu!"

Han Ye patted the girl's back as he looked at Jack. With an uncertain tone, he said, "I think she wants to wear her tutu…"

Jack facepalmed and heaved a tired sigh. "Why don't you say so earlier, princess? I'll let you wear your tutu, but you have to put on the pants as well, alright? It's cold at night."

Little Monkey rubbed her eyes with a small fist. After thinking about it for a moment, she nodded. Before Jack walked off, she pointed out loudly, "Mr. Bunny too!"

Jack laughed and ruffled her hair. "Alright, I'll dress Mr. Bunny in his tutu as well… I don't think he would be that happy with it though…"

After Jack walked off to get the tutu, Lyle came down from his room, fully dressed for the party. He had helped Jack with bathing their little sister earlier. After they were done, he told Jack to bring Little Monkey back to her room to change so that he could take his bath first. After all, they were running out of time and it was not their habits to be more than an hour late.

Lyle went to Little Monkey, who was sitting on Han Ye's laps and playing peekaboo with him, and kissed her forehead before asking, "My little princess, why aren't you in pants?"

"Tutu!"

Lyle sat down on the couch next to Han Ye before he picked her up. Once Little Monkey was sitting on his lap, he asked, "You want to wear your pink tutu tonight?"

Little Monkey cocked her head and her face scrunched up while she thought about the question. After a while, she answered, "Purple tutu!"

"Did you tell Jack?" asked Lyle.

She shook her head and looked at Lyle as if she was trying to make him know what she wanted him to do.

With a loving smile, Lyle patted her head before he took out his phone and gave Jack a call, "Jack, she wants her purple tutu."

Jack looked at the pink tutu in his hand before sighing.

"Alright," Jack replied before he hung up. Luckily he was just a few meters away from Little Monkey's room. He immediately went back and once he found the purple tutu, he changed the pink tutu on Mr. Bunny into a purple one as well.

His sister liked to share everything with the bunny and their father indulged her by getting the stuffed bunny a set of everything that Little Monkey had.

Jack immediately rushed down and passed the stuff to Lyle. "You take care of this. I have to bath."

"Mm. Go."
