After Ves received the fragment of the Idol of the Superior Mother, he summoned a lifter bot to transport it to the vault.
Though he hadn't taken a close look at it, Ves already noticed that the fragment was constantly leaking out its spiritual accumulation. Though the spillage wasn't severe, the piece of debris probably lost a lot of spiritual energy when it lay forgotten in some kind of warehouse!
Therefore, he was very eager to process the relic and turn its spiritual accumulation into something he could use to empower his forthcoming Hexer mech.
"Is it too much to ask for another relic?" Ves asked again.
"Forget it, kid. DIVA may be eager to try out unconventional solutions to break the stalemate at the frontlines, but it isn't desperate enough to resort to something more extreme."
"Does that mean I have a chance if the Fridaymen gain the upper hand?"
Calabast rapidly reached out and flicked her finger against his head!
"Ouch!"
When I started to write The Mech Touch, I decided early on that this will be the only story that takes place in this setting.
At this time, I have no plans to write a sequel or any spin-offs.
While writing multi-part novels is common with print books, I don't think it makes as much sense with webnovels.
Personally, as an avid reader and consumer of novels, I hate dealing with sequels of books. I detest the confusion that takes place when I have to search the right book to start the story at the beginning. Whether it happens to webnovels or fanfiction stories, it almost always makes no sense!
One of my worst experiences with dealing with a large and confusing narrative setting is when I tried to navigate the confusing timeline of the Kurthurian Gambit series.
I am filled with lots of story ideas. The Mech Touch is far from the only narrative setting in my mind. I want to share more of them to my readers, and once I am done with this story, I hope that I am able to keep entertaining you with my other tales!
