"The Prince went with some other guards, Miss," the soldier replied, maintaining his composure.

"Aren't you specialized guards for members of the royal family?" Emma pressed further.

"That's correct," the guard affirmed.

"Then why are you escorting me?" Emma's frustration was evident in her tone.

"All per the orders of Prince Alejandro," the guard explained, revealing the source of this unexpected arrangement.

As Emma processed this information, a throbbing headache intensified within her. She couldn't comprehend why Bright would leave his specialized guards for her while venturing without proper protection. Frustration and a sense of bewilderment accompanied Emma as she muttered to herself, "What is that fool thinking?"

As Emma approached the horses hitched to the carriage, urgency painted her expression. "Please, give me a horse."

"Miss, you should take the carriage," one of the guards insisted, eyeing the awaiting carriage.
