Chương 5: Are you planning to leave in disguise?
There was silence in the hall untill Arthur finally spoke,
"I need you to accompany me now. We are going somewhere."
Zharion was startled a bit and asked hesitantly keeping his cup down,
" Where?and that too at this hour!"
Arthur winked his eyes and after a short pause he spoke,
"I will tell you everything. For now you need to just come with me. We have to go for a visit."
It seemed as if he was unwilling to reveal anything but Zharion did not give up. He surely understood this is something strange. Hence, he narrowed his eyebrows a little bit and looked at him closely,
"All of a sudden! If I had not known you for so many years I would take it easy. I know you don't do things without any purpose. What is going on Arthur?"
Arthur looked at him and ignored his worry. He isn't so easy afterall to deal with. Just a few enquiries are not enough to know what is on his mind.
Arthur finished his tea and got up,
"I said I will let you know everything. You just have to follow me for now. Come on."
He coldy said all without any emotion on his face as usual. Certainly he had something on his mind.
Left with no other choice Zharion got up to follow him. It was useless to question him any further about this. They walked out of the hall.
Arthur picked up a dusky old pair of clothes and handed one to Zharion. He had to take it. He opened it placed it infront of him in his hands with his eyes wide opened. He gasped looking at it for a while. It was too old and looked like somewhat a dirty colour, the one used by people like the villagers. He could not hold himself back and questioned pulling a long face,
" What is this? Are you planning to wear this?" He glanced at Arthur and finally realised something.
After a short pause he said again," Are you planning to leave in disguise? Arthur there is something on your mind. Where are we going?"
Arthur left him clueless. He did not utter a word and started putting the clothes on. Zharion had to do it too. He too wore it. He had to just follow Arthur says. None of his questions were answered since the time he had come.
They wrapped a thick black shawl around themself. This disguised themselves well enough to have no one recognise them. They managed to slip out of the palace from the backyard without being caught by anyone's eyes. If it would, their secret would spill to some extent.
Three men in disguise accompanied them as they walked out of the palace gates. They were the kings trusted people. The commander in charge and his two close friends. They started walking out on the dark streets. At this time everything seemed to be isolated. No one was seen around. The trees and bushes alongside had their mark enough for anyone to freeze. Now these are the warriors walking on this path. No doubt they aren't afraid. They walked without a word untill they reached at a place where some lamps were seen lighted on the streets. Few people were still seen grazing around. It looked like it was some village. Arthur stopped here and said in a low whispering tone,
"It's time to use the tactics now. If asked, act like a commoner. No one should suspect seeing us together but keep yourself at close reach from each other."
