Really? This was the person who is going to be my partner?

The room became very quiet after my sudden outburst. Not even the sound of the door closing could break the silence until Chief Gong did it.

"Do the two of you know each other?" Chief Gong asked, looking at the both of them staring at each other intently.

We both blurted out straight up a lie in unison, "No!"

Who would believe that? Just look at the two of you eye dogging each other. Are you two having a competition on who can eye dog the other person the longest? But, Chief Gong will just keep these thoughts to himself. He'll be adding fuel to the fire burning around the both of them already.

"I didn't get a chance to repay you back for last time," Long Wencheng faked a smile on his face. Though at the corner at his lips, it was twitching from how forceful he was trying.

Chief Gong wasn't sure on what to say next. They said that they didn't know each other, yet both of them just confirmed they do know each other.

Way before I had bumped into Mu Yi on multiple occasions, I ran into this person first. No, actually I was minding my own business when this person couldn't keep his hands to himself.

I was out re-exploring City A again after returning to Country Z, to get myself familiarize with the environment once again. I was skipping along the pathway wearing a pink hoodie with white bunny ears. When all of a sudden, my right arm was grabbed from the behind.

A pervert?

Instinctively I did a back kick, which I'm pretty sure I got the man in the stomach. Based on the strength he grabbed me, I was sure it was a man and not a woman.

The man let out a painful groaned from the kick, "You're a tough one, huh?"

He held his stomach, trying to get rid of the pain. He couldn't believe how hard this woman was able to kick him. She looked like she can easily break a bone by merely walking.

"It's you..." I murmured, furrowing my brows with my arms still up ready to fight him. "What do you want?"

"You know exactly what I want," Long Wencheng retorted, regaining his composure from the kick.

Long Wencheng straighten out his dark green jacket. Then gazed at her up and down. Is this really the person he's looking for? He was told the jewelry thief was a woman who had on a pink sweater. She was rather pretty for a criminal, although that doesn't mean she can't be one. She'll probably be the most beautiful woman he had captured.

That didn't answer my question? A part of me wanted to poke out those eyes when it was traveling up and down. Don't tell me he wants my body!

I have never seen or met anyone so brazen to ask of such things in board daylight. Worst of all, it wasn't like I was exploring at a bar or hotel. I am standing in a park where parents take their kids here!

"Either you come with me nicely or by force," Long Wencheng started walking towards Yun Anong slowly. As though he was approaching a wild cat who was ready to scratch him at any minute now.

I rubbed my temples, unable to comprehend what this person was trying to do. Did he think I'll just be willing to go with him? Like yes, let me hold your hand while you take me to go do whatever you want.

Despite his perverted approach asking me, he wasn't bad looking either. He had the boyfriend material appearance, with his soft brown hair shining from the bright sun. It goes well with his gentle appearance. He definitely carried the gentle aura all over compare to Mu Yi or Julian.

Apparently, you should never judge a book by its cover.

"Force it is then," Long Wencheng made up his mind.

He was fast and swift. Long Wencheng grabbed Yun Anong by her right arm again and pulled it behind her back. That being said, he underestimated her ability too.

Yun Anong quickly stuck her legs between his legs and entangled it, causing both of them to fall sideways. Thankfully they fell onto the grass, so it decreased most of the damaged. Still, it was painful when falling full force onto the ground without precautions.

"Pervert!" I screamed, struggling to get away from his grip.

"What?" Long Wencheng became extremely confused about what she just said.

"Look at where your hand is at!" I huffed in frustration.

Long Wencheng's hand was gripping something soft and rounded. He immediately released his hands, realizing what he was groping. This gave Yun Anong the chance to get away from him.

"I-I-I..." Long Wencheng wasn't sure where to start off, he didn't mean to grab her there at all.

"Hey, Wencheng! What are you doing? We already captured the jewelry thief." Another officer shouted, trying to get Long Wencheng's attention although he seemed to be occupied by a woman. He was surprised Long Wencheng the serious workaholic was hitting on a woman during work hours.

"Y-you already captured the woman?" Long Wencheng tried processing what he just heard and what he just did. He was trying to detain the wrong person, and also mistakenly touched her too.

"Yeah, she is being sent to the police station right now. We were just waiting for you." The police officer explained. "What happened to the woman you were just talking to?"

Long Wencheng turned around to find Yun Anong missing from where she was standing a second ago. He didn't even get the chance to explain his action!

"She... Nevermind, let's head back." Long Wencheng didn't want to think about it anymore when she was already gone.

Long Wencheng did not realize that she took off not because of him, but the person who was going to pass him in a few minutes.

I almost died running with all my might. I'm probably far enough from the pervert and the devil. Regrettably, I didn't get the chance to punch that pervert in the face from touching me. I had to think of my life first, especially when I saw a much scarier person, Mu Yi.

The park I went to is owned by the Mu family, and it's opened up to the public. Out of all days, he had to visit the park, probably to set up something new for the people who visit frequently.

Sigh, this is precisely why I mentioned I must go cleanse my lousy luck away!
