Chương 70: Out From The Forest
After Arden and Edward, one of the sons of Louis crossed the river. They met Louis and some other guards across the river, both of them sighed in relief to escape from the land isolated by the river itself.
While they forgot about the white cat and tiger cub, they soon retrieve it by going back into the tunnel that let them cross the river. Arden was thrilled after all the things that happened.
He was planning to surprise his wife with the new animal he has gotten from the forest and made his way home. Visiting Louis's house before going to his castle.
But soon, he knew he would meet a trouble, a woman making his blood boil with all the things she said. It was not long before their third encounter at the city and Arden soon know, who the woman is.
However, he would have some time for himself to relax and do some of his works. Before getting into political matters that require him to use his connections with the nobles across the kingdom.
While taking care of the noblewoman he encountered 2 times in the past which is yesterday and made his blood boil.

Back to him at the forest, he was walking while carrying the tiger cub at his hand and Edward carrying the white cat in his. He, Edward, Louis and 2 city guard was walking at the forest and trying to get out of it.
While making some light conversation on the way out of the forest between them while they made their way. With their knowledge of the way in the forest and their memory serving them, they found their way out of the forest.
The first thing that greeted them was the wheat field right outside the forest. Even though only seeing this, all of them including the guard sighed and smiled.
Eventually, all of them looked at each other awkwardly before the guard said to them, "Sir, we will excuse ourself, there are some works in the city that needed to be done"
Arden looked at them and smiled lightly and said, "Thank you"
Which they returned with "You're welcome" and began making their way back to the city.
Now, Edward, Louis and Arden stood beside the wheat field and behind them... is the woods. They looked at each other awkwardly before making their way to Louis's family house.
It was almost noon at that time, and Arden hasn't come back from his hunting session. All of the servants and even Valen herself began panicking.
Worrying something might happen to her own husband, she began distracting herself with taking care of the babies but soon became more worried.
'Where is Arden, is he okay, what if something happens to him!' The only thing that came in her mind were questions that she herself couldn't answer while muttering some words.
She was about to continue to distract herself with the babies, but suddenly, someone knocked on her doors. She raised one of her eyebrows before opening the door and seeing who the person was.
Cautiously, she approached the door and opened it while peeking before fully opening it. It was Rose and Cassandra. Both of them looked at Valen confused and asked, "Are you okay?"
Valen opened the door for them and asked them back after answering the question, "Yes, I'm okay, just worried where Arden's at. Anyway, why are you girls here?"
Both of them looked at Valen once again and took a while to respond, "We are worried about you, you keep muttering something and we could hear it if we put our ears at the wall"
Valen looked at them and then stepped away from the door. Both of the maids came in and sat down at a wooden chair Arden used to sit at.
Valen closed the door and then approached her bed while both of the maids were waiting. Then, she sat at the bed, trying to calm herself down and not to worry about Arden anymore.
After some time with silent, Valen took a deep breath and ready to ask questions to the maids. The first one she asked was, "What should I do to find Arden?"
Cassandra and Rose looked at each other before making their answer. Both of them turned their chairs around and discussed the answer, the one that didn't upset Valen but actually calm her.
After some time passes, both of them turned back and face Valen. Rose looked at her straight into the face and bluntly said, "Let's search for him"
And so, Valen began preparing herself to go to the city and search for her husband, and the maids stayed at the castle to take care of the babies.
Meanwhile, Arden and Louis's family were having a great time relaxing at Louis's house. All of Louis's sons didn't go to the field to work because Emma said to not go to the field and rest.
All of them gathered at the eating room while Emma cooked them a meal and just like every time they ate. They finished it so quickly and began having some "family times" once they were done.
Arden was there just having a conversation with Louis and Emma. Suddenly, Emma said to the 4 siblings, "Hey, all of you, from now on, you will become a guard at Arden's castle"
All 4 of them quickly became silent and didn't talk a single word. Their eyes widen and their jaw dropped. They were surprised, but soon regained their ability to process the words.
Arden asked bluntly, "How do you guys feel?"
All of them looked at each other while raising one of their eyebrows and filled with confusion. Then, the oldest among them, Alan, represent all of his siblings and answered honestly.
"We don't know our feelings about this, we should be happy but sad at the same time, who will take care of the field if we were gone?"
Arden looked at them and soon their feeling, it was the feeling of not wanting to leave the place they came from, the job they worked since they were a child.
