Chương 6: Chapter 6: The Decision
David and Emily were sitting in their guild hall discussing the recent attack by King Leon's army. They had emerged victorious, but it had been a close call.
"We need to be more careful," Emily said. "King Leon won't give up so easily."
David nodded. "We need to be prepared for anything. But for now, let's focus on rebuilding and strengthening our guild."
Just then, a messenger arrived with a letter for David. He opened it and read the contents, his expression turning from confusion to surprise.
"What is it?" Emily asked.
"It's a letter from Queen Isabella," David said. "She wants to meet with me to discuss a possible alliance."
Emily's eyes widened. "Queen Isabella? The queen of the neighboring kingdom?"
David nodded. "Yes. She's heard of our guild's success and wants to offer us her support."
Emily looked skeptical. "What does she want in return?"
David shrugged. "I don't know, but it's worth hearing her out. We could use all the help we can get."
The meeting with Queen Isabella was set for the following day. David and Emily arrived at the palace, dressed in their best attire. They were led to a grand chamber, where the queen was waiting for them.
"Welcome, David," Queen Isabella said with a smile. "I've heard great things about your guild and the empire you're building."
David bowed. "Thank you, Your Majesty. We're honored by your interest."
The queen gestured for them to sit. "I've come to offer you a proposal. I would like to form a political alliance with your guild. In exchange for your support, I will provide you with resources, soldiers, and other forms of aid to help you grow your empire."
David was intrigued. "What do you hope to gain from this alliance, Your Majesty?"
Queen Isabella leaned forward. "I have enemies of my own, David. By aligning myself with a powerful guild such as yours, I can strengthen my own position and protect my kingdom from those who would seek to do us harm."
David considered her words carefully. "I appreciate your offer, Your Majesty. But we already have enemies of our own. If we were to enter into an alliance with you, it could make us vulnerable to attack."
The queen nodded. "I understand your concerns. But I assure you, my soldiers are some of the best in the land. And I can offer you resources that you would never be able to acquire on your own."
David looked to Emily, who nodded in agreement. "We'll consider your offer, Your Majesty. But we need time to discuss it as a guild."
"Of course," the queen said. "Take all the time you need. I look forward to hearing your decision."
As they left the palace, David and Emily discussed the queen's offer. "I don't know if we can trust her," Emily said.
"I know," David said. "But we can't afford to ignore her offer either. We need all the resources we can get if we're going to survive."
They returned to their guild hall and called a meeting with their members. They explained the queen's offer and the potential benefits and risks of entering into an alliance with her.
After much discussion and debate, the guild members voted in favor of accepting Queen Isabella's offer. They knew it was a risky move, but they believed it was their best chance at building a powerful empire and defending themselves against their enemies.
