"What a big snake..."
Lu Bei jumped up from his recliner and rushed to Zhu Xiushi's side. He wasn't sure if he was comforting her or himself, "Don't panic, I have a couple of snakes at home. They are usually bad at seeing things as small as a mustard seed. If we talk softly, it won't see us."
As he spoke, a yellow light swept through the darkness, capturing the glow of the mustard seed.
Lu Bei took a deep breath inwardly, "Don't panic. Such a large snake can't be bothered by us. Its prey must be underneath the Taoist temple, and we just happened to stand there."
As he finished, the python paused its hissing, opened its huge mouth, and shot towards the glow of the mustard seed.
"What are you waiting for, run!"
The python's fangs closed in, and Lu Bei slapped Zhu Xiushi on the shoulder, urging her not to freeze. If they didn't run soon, they'd have to find another way out.
