Chương 10: Chapter 10 - Well, I don’t know what to say.
I went back to the previous areas, checking if any of the goons were there. Luckily there were a few with futuristic looking guns, and one of them was even a hologram.
I wonder where the police are, but I don't think they even care. Not to mention, since I haven't seen any of them use powers yet, I'm going to guess that powers aren't as prevalent for the slums. One of them starts walking away with the hologram, as the others keep talking. Just Incase I should take that person once the hologram is away from them enough.
I wait for them as they talk, but I can't read their lips, much less the details of their faces, I try to imagine myself hearing them, but I don't have enough practice. After a while, the hologram turns their back to the person, I quickly kill the person, and rip their soul out before it's noticed, sadly I forgot the screams. Though good enough, I've gotten really good at this lately. I don't think staying here is a good thing, and I run away, cause I sure as hell don't know how good their weapons are.
Just as well, I don't know if a powerful person is nearby, and whether they were just surprised by my action. As soon as I'm a block away, I hear an explosion from the top of the buildings. Someone likely assumed I was there, I ain't gonna stick around, I imagine myself faster, and book it.
After an hour, I finally slow down, and hide. I make another sound barrier, and rip everything from the soul, but what I find saddens me.
The mother, and child didn't make it. They thought I was a would be hero, and set a trap. The mother was treated cruelly, I really don't want to go into details, I feel sick, and the child was used as bait. The mother was then strung to explosives as she hanged, and somehow the child got loose enough to head over to her crying. The blast killed him, I'm sorry you two, I truly am.
...I'll make sure to erase this group, I'm not a good person. So sorry if I'm not as quick as would be heroes.
I disappear from this side of the district, and focus on collecting more souls of the gang, eventually I'll be strong enough to kill them all, but for now I must grow. As I go through the hours, I begin a murder spree, all while running away. I kill a few in one area, book it across, kill there, rinse, and repeat, the process is actually efficient.
Also, I can feel it oddly, but I'm getting stronger. Not to mention that I don't feel tired. Souls are really useful, sadly their souls are starting to affect me. I'm starting to kill them more haphazardly, and grotesquely.
Regardless, I don't know what to say in that regard anyways, as even though I'm starting to turn even worse, I still have no pity for them. Just in case I need to go to the new district, cause I'm pulling way too much attention now, and even firefights are starting to spring up. I started a turf war, and I need to make sure it spreads.
Cause I'm certain a lot of innocent people are already dying now because of it, and I can't help feel a bit guilty to those two. I'll make sure to get revenge ok, and to the bad guys, thanks for the info. Your information is providing me a lot of good spots for killing the lot of you, and helping start wars can help me get some politicians killed. If I'm lucky they'll send weak power users, and I can try to take those powers from them.
Cause I don't know the limits of this power, but it's definitely not gonna be pretty for them.
