It was a weird place, even weirder than the Pixie Hollow Tree.

A place that no matter where she looked, she could only see trees, infinite trees with no crowns or roots in sight, only the bare branches of leaves pointed on the trunks. Thick or thin, pale or dark. These seriously limited her field of vision.

A heavy bluish-white mist hung from the edges, clouding the corners and nooks, thus raising the level of weirdness, further increasing the feeling of another world.

The air was still, almost stagnant and devoid of sounds. Nothing was heard, not even the whisper of the wind shaking the branches of the trees. The silence was absolute and solemn. Avoiding the branches growing in her path, she advanced feeling the weight of it on each of her nerves.

But even if the world around her was as silent as a graveyard, her mind was another matter.

The quietest people had the stormiest minds. And the saying fit her perfectly.
