Yeah, I remember, the rat regrows its leg.
PETER
Watch...
As the video progresses the rat becomes increasingly irritated by its new leg. Eventually, the leg begins to grow scales, then claws. Before you know it, the entire rat has transformed into a monster and begins lashing out at its container.
GWEN
Jesus... Poor thing.
PETER
Yeah, wait until you hear they've done it with PEOPLE.
Peter pulls up another video.
Norman Osborn approaches a scaly woman with a visible tail.
NORMAN
Winona, you have to understand, we didn't mean for the serum to-
WINONA
To WHAT? You've killed me Norman! You think I could go out like this? I'm a MONSTER! YOU made me a monster!
NORMAN
You chose to let the scorpion out, it stung you, YOU face the consequences of your own actions.
(To Scientists)
Play the sonic sound.
Norman leaves the room.
WINONA
No, NO... NO!
Winona screams in agony as the sonic sound plays and the video ends.
GWEN
That's disgusting!
PETER
You see now? We have to get this to someone!
Gwen nods before taking the USB.
GWEN
I'll take this to my dad.
PETER
What about the files?
GWEN
Spider-Woman can handle that after the news breaks and a search is conducted.
Peter sighs.
PETER
Good, I hope Osborn rots for this. And to think I was bff's with his son.
GWEN
Let's just hope Harry wasn't involved, okay?
Gwen picks up the files and puts them in Peter's drawer.
GWEN (cont'd)
Spider-Woman will collect those when she needs them.
PETER
You know Spider-Woman?
GWEN
No, but I hear she's not hard to reach.
Peter places the vials on his desk and the pair sit on his bed together.
PETER
I know it was weird to start on that, honestly it was weird to mention that anywhere, but what do you want to do now?
GWEN
Got any good movies?
PETER
Plenty.
INT. FISK TOWER - NIGHT
Shocker walks with a tall, wide, man in a white suit, WILSON FISK.
SHOCKER
Listen, just a few guys is all I'm asking for. Hold a couple hostages, shot a few cops I-
FISK
You want me to risk men over a little personal grudge against a girl who climbs on walls?
SHOCKER
Look, if she's not dealt with, then sooner or later she'll start messing with you and then you'll wish you'd made this deal with us.
Fisk stares at Shocker blankly.
SHOCKER
Trust me, she's a menace.
FISK
Fine. You get twelve guys, THAT'S IT.
SHOCKER
Twelve is all we need man.
INT. PARKER RESIDENCE - MORNING
May wanders around the house with a laundry basket. She decides to wait for Gwen and Peter to leave the room to go in after them. In the meantime, she goes downstairs and places the laundry basket by the washing machine.
She takes a seat on the couch and turns on the TV. A newscaster is reporting on the attack on the school yesterday. May changes the channel to something better.
Gwen walks down the stairs and comes over and sits with May.
MAY
Good morning, Gwen.
GWEN
Morning May...
MAY
Was Peter not awake when you got up?
GWEN
No, I didn't want to disturb him.
MAY
Why? Lazy boy sleeps for half the day most of the time.
GWEN
Come on, even guys need their beauty sleep.
MAY
He's had his for at least a week now.
Gwen wraps herself up in a blanket from the couch.
MAY (cont'd)
Do you want me to make you any coffee or...?
GWEN
Oh, no thanks May, I can do it myself.
MAY
Oh please, you're a guest here sweetie.
May gets up and walks to the kitchen.
She brews two cups of coffee.
May hands Gwen a cup and sits back down with her.
MAY
So what did you two do last night?
Gwen chokes on her drink, not expecting May to be so presumptuous.
GWEN
Nothing! We just watched a movie. A few movies.
MAY
How long were you up for?
GWEN
Couple hours...
May looks at Gwen, wanting more.
GWEN (cont'd)
When I checked the time it was like... 3am...
May sighs.
MAY
You kids are lucky school is closed because of that madman who broke in.
GWEN
Yeah...
MAY
About that, it was a good thing you and Peter weren't hurt, huh?
GWEN
Yeah, it was.
MAY
I tell you, your dad has the wrong thing about this "Spider-Woman".
GWEN
REALLY- R-Really?
MAY
Yes. She's not just a hero, she's a symbol. Makes me want to do some good.
GWEN
May, please don't go out and beat up bad guys.
MAY
Of course not. But I wouldn't mind swinging my bag around from time to time. No, I mean do something good for the people Spider-Woman can't directly help.
GWEN
