The lizard was eating a fresh carcass, which James assumed was a pig or something similar based on the body that had already been torn apart by the lizard's claw.

James felt that this should be his opportunity, as the lizard was distracted. He then sneakily approached until he reached behind a tree that was enough to hide his body from the lizard.

After determining that the distance between them was close enough, approximately 18 meters, he raised his right palm, and as James cast his skill (Fire Vortex) and a magic circle about 60 cm in diameter formed above his head.

The temperature of the surroundings rapidly rose as the fire pillar, which was around 40 cm in diameter, emerged from the magic circle and immediately stretched towards the lizard.

The fire pillar was so fast that when the lizard realized and tilted its head, it was already too late since the fire pillar had already hit its upper body near its neck, creating a large hole as it passed through and hit the ground, leaving a deep pit.
