"Her mother? Do you mean the late Sorsiana Hamlin?"

"Sorsiana Hamlin?" Ilya asked, tilting her head to the side thereafter, "Why are you calling that woman Sorsiana Hamlin? Wasn't she married to the Duke of Gertrude?"

"Was she? That's news to us though. I only came to know about that right now."

Ilya simply nodded at the man's answer. However, she was curious as to why they didn't know that Sorsiana was married to the Duke. It was only the upper echelon of the Nobles who knew that the marriage was not valid by virtue of the myriad of oppositions. 

"It's irrelevant to your mission. I apologize for bringing it up." Ilya said as she bowed her head. 

None of the three minded the small distraction. Moreover, the marriage wasn't of importance to them in the first place. Whether Sorsiana was married to the Duke or not was none of their business.
