Chương 25: Chapter 24
The drive to the gated community where Lens family lived was quite, they all felt a tremendous burden on them.
" I want to go back to the beach and stay, maybe Kalae will come back with Ari" Carra said while hugging her dog, she watches all the bodies walking the streets from her window.
When they get close to the large gate, they were hundreds of dead crowding around the gate trying to push passed the gate.
" Look theres people on the otherside using homemade spears on them" Wei said looking through his binoculars, she seen the doctor standing with a few others. She clenched her fist and held Aris letter tighter, Lillian watches Len and Carra closely since she knows that they'll act before thinking.
" ok what should we do.... I dont want them to know about all of us or the weapons" Lillian said while holding two frag grenades in her hands, she gets out of the truck and moves between parked cars. She rolls the grenades into the crowd of the dead at the gates, two loud bangs go off and blows body parts every where.
" Len, David and Paul will come with me " Lillian said while they leave their rifles grabbing shotguns and their melee weapons, they make their way to thegurds building.
" wait that's my daughter, let her in !" A man saidwhile running over to the gate that wa behind the building. David helps Paul, Lillian and Len on top of the building while Len and Paul was pulling David up. Lillian was hitting the dead that was getting close with head shots.
Lillian takes out a smoke grenade and drops it below her on the ground while they quickly jump the fence. Lens father runs over to he checking her body for any wounds, she noticed the doctor was no longer in sight.
" wheres Cindy and mom" Len said while Lillian was watching the people who started to gather around them, when a Latino girl runs up to Len engulfing her in a hug.
" Mia " Len said while looking at her friend with years in her eyes, she sees a younger version of herself running toward them.
" Len I'm so glad your ok" Mia said while they both hug Cindy closer to them, Len tried to be happy seeing her friend and sister. Ari being attacked it playing over and over in her head, she looks over at Lillian who kept staring at a tall building across te street with a sad expression.
When Len looked she thought she three people on the roof of the tall building, she walks close to the gate and the three were gone.
(" that was Ari, I know it was") Len thought to herself as Lillian walks over to her, she looks around with an uneasy feeling of being watched.
" Len let's talk to your family and also Mias family can come as well" Lillian said while the all walk down the street to Lens fathers mansion, a woman who looked to be in her mid thirties runs up hugging Len.
" mom, Mia, Cindy and dad pack your things were leaving here. It wont be safe with the dead being at thegateslike this, you can't tell anyone it could put us in danger" Len said while grabbing family photo off a shelf, Mia her head and grabs Cindy's hand as they run up the steps.
Len follows after them, she goes in her room filling up a bag to packs some things in and then makes her way into Cindy's room.
" Mia where are your parents" Len said while helping Cindy with some of her things, Len looks out Indys window at a group of men and the doctor was one of them.
Lillian watched the men point at Lens house while in a heated argument, Evelyn wa watching through the lens Lillian was wearing.
" Lillian gt everyone ready, Wei Is going around to the side with the vehicles and will drop a ladder over the fence. Get everyone moving now, Wei dropped a drone so I can keep an eye on things." Evelyn said while looking through the drones camera.
Len comes down with the other girls and notices her mother and at her have a small bag a piece packed.
" we have a problem, these people are sacrificing their own to the things outside the gate. They done it to Mias parents we need to leave now" Len said while they all go to the back door, while Evelyn keeps an eye out for the men patrolling the area. They run over to the side of the gated community were the four vehicles are waiting. Wei drops a ladder over the gate and stands in the back of the truck, two elderly people run over to them.
" please take us with you " The older woman said while Lillian nodded her head helping them over to the ladder.
" there coming to you" Evelyn said while Sam throws a rifle over to Lillian, they all make it over when an explosion was heard coming from the front gate.
" let's move leave the ladder so they have a chance to escape" Lillian said going over and they all sit down in the back of the truck, Lillian makes them all lay down while they watch out for the creatures.
Len was happy to have her family and friend, even mr. and mrs. Shumer with them. Her mind kept going back to Ari, deep down she can feel that Ari is still alive or that she is present.
