Just as Daisy was about to enter the car, Maxim grabbed her hand to hold her in place. As she turned to look at him, he passed her a card, ''Reach out to Logan in case something goes wrong. I have given him a heads up so all should be fine. Get that idiot out of that place and leave.'' 

Daisy glanced at the card in her hand, momentarily in trance, ''You...'' For a moment, a warm feeling spread in her chest, ''I thought you never took Ryle for your best friend?" 

''He is dating you now. If something were to happen to him, then you would be sad.'' 

Daisy arched her brow, ''Given how much I oppose your marriage to my sister, shouldn't you pray that something happens to me?"
