Chương 289: He had an answer

''I will pass out,'' she mumbled, her voice awfully hoarse. 

''Mm,'' there was a hint of smugness in his voice. Perhaps it was the lack of control in her tone earlier, or the hint of begging that asked him to stop, that had satisfied the man. 

Si Yena could not figure out if he was simply twisted in the head or twisted beyond repair. But then again, she was not the one to talk about other people's insanity. 

''Tell me something...'' 

Lu Xian did not reply immediately and when she assumed that he was not going to say anything, she was about to push his buttons further. But right then, the man spoke up, ''Ask me anything. But if I answer your question, I will ask you one right after.'' 

"Do you think you are in a position to negotiate with me?" 

He grunted, ''Considering that you were pinned under me, still moaning and screaming for me just a few seconds ago, yes, I am very much in a position to negotiate.'' 

Silence dawned in the room.
