Chương 276: Item evolution

Deep in the forest nick found something similar to what he was searching for though it was unfortunately a sword Dao fruit making it pointless for himself. before he could store it away yin yun pops out of her sheath surprising nick for a moment. "wait!" she says quickly stopping him from putting away the fruit. "you know you are so quiet usually that its like the universe forgot you existed." he said with a shrug. (an: i did lol) "forget about that , can i have that fruit please?" she said while eyeing the Dao fruit greedily. "why do you need this thing?" nick asked curiously. "for most cultivators that fruit will only push their sword cultivation higher by a bit , but for sword spirits like me that fruit lets us break our physical forms limitations letting us grow stronger." she said seriously. nick was confused "physical limitations , aren't you a sword though?" he asked not understanding. yin yun frowned but deepened her explanation. "for creatures of flesh like you and most cultivators you can push past your limits continuously with effort but for item spirits its different since our physical forms are limited by our ranks which in turn limits how strong we can get by cultivating."

"In order for spirits like me to grow beyond the limits set at our physical forms birth we need large amounts of the laws that our attuned to us which in my case is sword laws." she finished her explanation seriously. "and this fruit will cause your tier to increase?" nick asked interested in this new information he just got since he had not actually seen how yin yun got stronger after she stopped at the peak of tier six. "oh yes with that fruit and a few tier seven herbs from nearby i will raise my physical forms tier from five to seven without a doubt making me an ascended blade." she said excitedly. "alright take it." nick said while tossing the silver sword shaped fruit to her. yin yun caught the fruit and immediately used qi manipulation to create a basin six feet long out of one of the nearby stones that glowed with sword aura. once done making the basin she ran around the area disappearing for a moment before coming back with armfuls of herbs that were all useful for sword cultivators.

She then used qi manipulation to purify all of the ingredients including the dao fruit much like one would while using alchemy. she stopped once all of the ingredients had turned into liquid and mixed together into a sort of mercury looking liquid with a sharp aura that she filled the basin with. after the basin was filled yin yun turned back into her sword form and levitated herself into the liquid causing an immediate reaction.
