Chương 310: Chapter 299 - Zeela's Story Part I

The woman who walked in was exactly as Zeel had described except for one major description that Zeel had refused to believe even now.

The white hair was long and draped over her shoulder, she was 6'3" and had spotless white teeth that glistened in the already white room.

The woman carried herself with an air of elegance, unmatched by any other human in the facility.

Her pasture was as straight as a ruler, with steps as light as feathers.

Of course, she was late 20's… 28 years old to be exact, but Zeel was not interested in any of those things, including her undeniable beauty that appealed to Draconic instincts.

The thing that really irked Zeel was something that should have never happened. He had never encountered this situation before but already knew exactly what the outcome would be.

To sum up the woman in all her glory was rather simple…

"You're me," Zeel said smilingly "Or the version of me in this Universe,"

The woman smiled hesitantly and shyly, and Zeel could tell that she was genuinely afraid from the way her heart sped up when she saw him.

It was good to be scared… being scared was good.

She was scared of him… no, terrified of him if the Christmas lights in her brain's 'Terror' sector was any indication.

And she should be scared of him because she understood him somewhat and vaguely knew the only outcome for this situation.

At first, Zeel thought she was suicidal, but she also appeared to be more than met the eyes. And Zeel was liking every moment of her façade.

The woman opened her mouth several times but failed to form any words with her seemingly shy personality.

Eventually, she hardened her heart and reinforced her steps, making a slight bow as Kings of the past would expect their servants to do.

She introduced herself in a voice that was somewhere between seductive and reverential "My name is Zeela and –"

"I do not care," Zeel waved his hand that had magically become free of all restraints.

Of course, he was not free of his own will, the woman before him had obviously freed his restraints willingly before entering the room.

"What I want to know is how much you know and when it started," he said, staring into Zeela's eyes like a hungry beast ready to pounce at any time.

Zeela shivered under his gaze and took a while to calm her irregularly beating heart.

"Three years ago, I started -"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" Zeel shouted suddenly, his teeth turning into a maw full of hideously sharpened Draconic teeth for a moment.

He considered ripping her throat out with his teeth but decided on a lighter punishment.

Zeela slammed her body into the ground and whined like a dog that had been injured. She was demonstrating submission… absolute submission to Zeel.

Zeela felt soldiers shuffling outside the room, ready to burst in at a moment's notice but she desperately waved them off.

Zeel calmed down and looked at the pathetic figure of the woman that laid before him.

She laid before him like many great women before her, but something was different about the way she submitted to him.

Other women submitted rebelliously at first, but Zeela did it wholeheartedly like all she ever wanted in her life was to submit to Zeel right here and right now.

Zeel gave a command as he released the bindings that held him in place.

"Let them all leave; we have something to discuss!" Zeel stated with absolute authority like he owned every facet of Zeela.

Like a dog desperate to please her master, Zeela did Zeel's bidding swiftly and without any questions.

When Zeela turned to direct the soldiers, gone was her pathetic display of submission.

'A talented actor indeed,' Zeel thought a bit happily.

"Now tell me what happened and don't bullshit me like you do everyone else or I will kill you!" Zeel said and waited for the story to begin.

The true story, and not the one she had deluded herself into believing.

"Three years ago, I had a loving family. Two daughters and a husband I loved very much, and I was happy at that time.

However, one day I found my world twisted and lame as strange emotions that weren't my own started to become apparent –"

*Krunch*

*Rip*

*Spurt*

Zeel disappeared from his location and reappeared behind Zeela with her left arm in his hands. It wasn't long after that Zeela realized that she was missing an arm.

"AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!" Zeela cried with panic and terror but Zeel spun around and gripped her by the throat, staring into her eyes like he could decipher her soul.

Lightning flickered around Zeel's left hand and he pressed it onto the missing location of Zeela's arm, cauterizing the wound before she could lose a lot of blood.

The sickening smell of flesh roasting wafted around the enclosed room, but Zeel didn't stop staring into Zeela's terror-stricken eyes.

Zeel continued to cauterize the wound until the popping noise of heated human skin containing gas bubbles started to echo within the room.

It was at that point that Zeel stopped frying her skin with his lightning, though he didn't expect losing an arm meant as much to her as other humans.

Zeel had gained some benefits since he came to this Universe, and one of those benefits was his healing factor.

At this time, Zeela's cries became whimpers, and Zeel released her onto the floor as he tossed her disconnected arm to the far corners of the room.

"You will do well not to lie to me again whore!" Zeel whispered into Zeela's ears intimately like a lover.

It was a whisper that promised the sweet embrace of death, but Zeela still liked the sweetness, even if it meant her death.

"I prefer not to do this because it is one more memory I have to hide from my wives so don't force me to become my past self," Zeel said, sighing and waiting for Zeela's whimpers to stop.

A new arm had already begun to grow from the cauterized zone. Her healing factor rivaled Zeel's own, and that was only to be expected.

"Three years ago, I had a loving family. Two daughters and a husband I hated as much as I loved them.

I always these dark emotions swirling in my mind, I always thought of the perfect way to kill my daughters and husband.

I grew up rough in the slums, always fending for myself and given my beauty. I don't need to mention how many times I was on my knees or lying on my back.

Voluntary or involuntary didn't matter, all that mattered was how I would be humiliated next.

'How can the world do this to me?' I thought 'Is there nobody who cares about me?'," Zeela glanced up at Zeel's face to make sure he was listening.

And listening Zeel was, he listened and analyzed each section of her story and could confirm its authenticity.

Zeel even suspected that she was downplaying her suffering by quite a bit. Maybe she didn't even remember most of it.

Still, Zeela continued her story with fluency…
