Arabella's POV
"This is your room. If you want to rest, you can sleep on the bed, if you get bored, you can go to the deck upstairs, and you can talk to me about anything, Ara." Ty said.
I couldn't stop myself from feeling excited. Who could have thought I would have this chance to know him in person? He is the type of person who is impossible for me to be acquainted with because of his family background.
"Thank you, Ty, and I can't thank you enough. I know words are not enough to express my gratitude towards you." I said, and he smiled, the kind of smile that can take my breath away; I hate myself for feeling this way, and now, I understand why many young women on the Island are trying to catch his attention; his dimples alone can make my knees go weak.
"You are welcome, Ara, you need help, and I just happen to be on the harbor because of some important matters I need to attend to, and I am glad that I could help you." He replied, excusing himself, and I closed my cabin door.
I am on board a 60-foot yacht. I have never in my entire existence fantasized about being on a boat with Tyler. If only my sister were here with me, I am sure she would be already screaming with excitement. I know she is a girl who wants to date the Island's heartbreaker.
There are many times I advised her to stop dreaming about Ty Edgebright, but she told me it is free to daydream, that is why for how many seasons, she worked part-time at the resort to take a glimpse of the famous son of Mauricio.
Ty's father is a known businessman in our country, but he had his family residence at the Perfect Blue Island because of its splendid scenery and the people on the Island. They also have a grand mansion on the mainland, and they have many properties all over the country.
The Perfect Blue Island comprises four municipalities: Azure, Sapphire, Cerulean, and Cobalt. I live in Azure, which is the capital of the entire island, and it is where the resort owned by Ty's dad is located. I was lying on my bed when I heard a soft knock on my door, and when I opened it, I was met by a man in his mid-thirties. He looks friendly as he smiles at me.
"Miss Ara, I am Del, and I am the Messman of this yacht; Ty is waiting for you at the deck, and he asks you to join dinner with him before you sleep." He said, and I couldn't help myself grin at him.
"Thank you, Del, and please tell him I will go up in a minute," I said, getting back inside to fix myself. Of course, even though I am not interested in Ty because my heart only belongs to Matthew, I still want to look presentable in front of him.
I could feel the ocean breeze the minute I arrived at the boat's upper deck, and my stomach fluttered when I saw Ty sitting on the yacht sofa. He looks so peaceful and very handsome. The moment he raised his head and found me walking toward him, he smiled, and I was captivated by his two deep dimples; he looked so boyish, wearing a sleeveless top and board shoes.
"Have a seat, Ara, and feel the ocean breeze." He said, and I sat across from Ty, and I suddenly felt conscious, and I realized I should have settled beside him to be free from his intense gaze.
"Thank you," I said sheepishly.
"I don't want to pry, but it seems you were crying at the dock. Are you alright?" He asked, and I could tell he was serious with his question, and I didn't have the heart to tell him to shut up since he had already helped me reach my destination.
"I was just disappointed that I did not catch the last ferry, and I felt so tired running, but my efforts were useless, but it seems I am still lucky because a handsome stranger offered me to onboard his yacht," I replied and he smirked.
"How did you know this yacht belongs to me? Do you recognize me?" He asked.
"I am sorry, but I am too busy to watch the news or search the internet; if you are a celebrity, I am sorry if I don't recognize you." I lied, and he laughed.
"You are something, and I can tell you will fall in love with me before you come down from this boat." He said, and I just shook my head for his confidence to get over his brain.
"Don't make me laugh. I am not like other ladies who will fall in love with the rich and handsome guy like you, and I am different, Tyler." I said, and he studied me in the eye, and I could tell he was sizing me up.
"If that is the case, you need to know me, Ara; for the record, many girls fall for me not only because of my looks but because of who I am." He said thoughtfully, and I became speechless; and I am just glad the chef came, and he put the meal on the table. I felt so ashamed when my stomach grumbled when I saw the food.
"Well, it seems like you are starving, Arabella." He said and offered me the plate without judgment, and I felt glad he didn't laugh at me.
My mouth watered as I watched the food in front of me: fresh tuna mixed with potato salad, baked oysters, and the shrimp tempura. The menus looked so delicious, and the moment I tasted the meal, I fell in love with the food.
He eats his meal in silence, and I catch him stealing glances at me, and I can't contain my emotion. I felt conscious eating that he was watching me now and then. And his intense stares are giving me goosebumps. And I can't deny it, and they are all right about him. It is so easy to fall in love with Tyler.
"I am just curious, and I think I have seen you around Azure; do you work at the Perfect Blue resort?" He asked, and I shook my head.
"No, but to be honest, I recognize who you are; you may not be a celebrity, but you are known all over the country, especially on the island, because you are Tyler Edgebright, the handsome son of Mauricio, and one thing I am sure about you don't know me," I said.
"So, do you think I am handsome?" He inquired.
"I don't have a choice but to answer your question honestly since lying is bad; yes, you are handsome, Tyler." He laughs again, and I can't help to laugh with him, and I hate to admit I am having a good time with Tyler.
"Arabella, why did I just meet you now?" He asked, and his question took me off-guard. It was as if he regretted that we had just met.
"Why do you ask me that kind of question," I asked.
"Well, you told me you have a boyfriend, and it is not my forte to steal someone's girlfriend unless the girl begs me, but I can tell you are not that kind of person, and your boyfriend is so lucky to have you." He responded.
"Besides, I don't want to be a third party in a relationship, so it means I can't have you as my girlfriend; maybe if I found you before, for sure, you are my girlfriend now. You differ greatly from all the ladies I have met." He added, and his words warmed my heart.
"Why do you say that?" I asked.
"Because I have met girls who denied they have boyfriends the moment I ask their name, even before I show interest towards them; you, on the other hand, informed me you have a boyfriend before I can introduce myself to you." He declared, and I felt flattered, and I tried my best to hide my attraction towards him, and this was the only time I believed my friends who told me Ty could capture any girl's heart.
"Can I at least know your boyfriend's name?" He asked.
"Why?" I asked.
"Nothing, I am just curious if I know him or if he is handsome." He said, and I laughed.
"Why, do you like boys?" I asked, and before I could react, he moved closer to me, and he brushed his soft lips with mine; that made my entire body tremble, and I felt like jelly.
He kissed me hungrily that I had forgotten my name, and I had a boyfriend. I am lost in his world, and I hate myself for kissing him back. Then he left me hanging, and he stared at me before speaking.
"I just want to make a point, I respect all genders, but I want you to know I am straight Ara, and I only like girls, I have gay friends, and I love them, and I enjoy being with their company." He said, and it seemed to him the kiss did not affect him at all while I was trying to recover from my shock and compose myself since I couldn't think straight after I tasted his tempting lips.
"Me too, I have gay companions, and I love them, and I admire the way they take good care of me." And I remember my close friends in the apartment, and two of them are gay. He was staring at my lips, and I wanted a repeat, and I hated myself for being carried away.
"It seems you enjoy the kiss, Ara." He muttered, and I could tell my face turned crimson.
"Of course, I can't deny you are an excellent kisser, Ty, but I only kissed you back, so I can confirm you could kiss since many girls are so crazy about you," I responded and looked unaffected by his kiss.
"Oh, I see, I am a little disappointed with your answer, but I am confident, from now on, you will remember that kiss." He insisted.
"Ty, you are full of yourself, not all girls can be your toy, no offense, but I don't like you," I answered.
"Ouch, you injure my ego, Ara, but I am telling you I will do everything so that you will fall in love with me, but to achieve that, you have to break up with your boyfriend first." He stated.
"I am not yet, crazy, Tyler," I replied, and he became silent, and I think I upset him.
