Chương 8: Chapter 8 - Devil Blood Pill/Heaven's Punishment
"Eira, whats up with the dark expression?" Yun Qing asked suddenly.
Eira snapped back to reality. "I don't know, I just feel that something isn't right. It's almost like something bad will happen. You guys be careful when you are stage. I just felt a strange energy coming from one of the contestants. Keep your eyes on full alert. Don't miss a single detail of your opponent. I don't want anyone to die without knowing." When everyone heard what Eira said, they thought that she was joking and was about to laugh when the next thing she said froze them. "The strange energy I felt may have been devil essence."
"What?-" Yun Qing was about to yell when his mouth was covered by Eira's hand. She then pulled his face till it was in front of her eyes. The cold look in Eira's eyes was so scary, it sent shivers down their spines."If you yell, do you believe, that I can't make your master lose all face and throw you into the stands?"
She then let go of his face and looked at her other friends. "There not even a need to panic, didn't I say that it was one of the contestants. As long as its not a core formation martial artist, I can deal with them if I have help. Besides..." Lightning arcs flashed around Eira's body. "Lightning repels all evils, am I right?"
20 minutes later.
Everyone had finally got their numbers and now, the 2nd round coud start.
On the 1st stage, Contestant #1 vs Contestant #250.
On the 2nd Stage, Contestant #2 vs Contestant #249.
On the 3rd Stage, Contestant #3 vs Contestant #248
...
When the contestants were called up to the stage, Eira was a bit surprised when she saw her opponent. "Feng Yu?"
The referee's was about to speak when Feng Yu interrupted him.
"Wait!"
"What the hell do you want?" The referee was furious.
"I have an eternal grudge with this person and would like to use the Life and Deathmatch rule for this match. I cannot continue to coexist with this ruthless woman. She humiliated me inside of the Ancient Phoenix Clan and was allowed to walk away unscathed. I have to make her pay for it." Feng Yu's words caused an uproar amongst the crowd and the contestants. Even the people in matches stopped fighting to enjoy the show.
When Feng Yan heard these words, his whole face turned white. Even the patriarch of the Ancient Phoenix Clan frowned. Feng Mo Lie turned towards Feng Yan. "What exactly happened between these two?"
Feng Yan looked like he lost all of his blood as he sighed and told the patriarch everything.
When the patriarch heard everything he cursed inwardly and smacked Feng Yam in the back of the head. "What a good son you have! He is gonna make the whole clan lose face if he does this! Get him off of the stage before he does something stupid!" Feng Yan hurriedly got out of the vip room and went to the stage and called out to the ref. The ref looked at him and then at Eira who was listening to Feng Yu spout shit out of his mouth. He even went as far as saying that Eira insulted the whole Ancient Phoenix Clan.
When Eira heard Feng Yan call out to the ref. She turned towards Feng Yan who was in the air. "Senior Yan, you don't need to stop your son. I would like to agree to this life and deathmatch. I will also let you you son take that pill he has in his pocket since this is the reason behind him doing this." She turned toward Feng Yu. "Those words you said towards me, I am fine with you saying but the words you said about my mother, I have carved in my heart. If there was no one around when you said this, I would have already killed you when you were only an ant. When I walked Feng Yue back to the Ancient Phoenix clan when it was late in the evening, you thought that I wouldn't dare do anything to you inside of the clan territory. Let me tell you, the only reason I didn't slap you to death is because your father is a good man. I haven't ever seen him or hear of him doing any heinous acts. Such a righteous man like him has such a great son. While I am jealous that you still have such a great father, I wouldn't trade anything in the world to have your family. I only had one father in my life but he unfortunately passed away when I was young. You on the other hand have one but unfortunately, you don't cherish him. today, when you swallow that pill of yours, you will only be a slightly bigger ant. One that I will use as a stepping stone towards my goal. No matter how strong that pill makes you, I will crush you like the ant that you are." Eira took out her spear and sent a look towards the ref. She transmitted her voice to him. "The pill in his hands was made with devil energy but tell everyone to not interfere. If he wants to die, I'll help him out. Put out the barrier please." The referee was left with no other option. He could only put up the barrier.
Eira words left everyone breathless. Even the Patriarch and Sect Leaders of all of the clans and sects were very startled. "Oh Shit!" The person who said that was the patriarch of the ancient phoenix clan, Feng Mo Lie. He was burning with rage and he was even letting his aura leak out. "What did I, Feng Mo Lie, do to deserve such an offspring?" He was disappointed with his son Feng Yan but what Feng Yan's son was doing right now was just utterly stupid. He also decided to do this publicly. If Feng Yu wasn't his blood, he would slap him to death with his palm.
On the stage, Feng Yu started to chuckle as if it was a joke. "Heheh... So you already knew.... Not that it matters. Today, I will kill you and Imprison your soul so I can torture you even after your death!" After he said this he took out a pill that was red and was emiting a very sinister aura. When the people of the Upper Realms saw this, their eyes constricted.
"Devil Blood Pill!" The woman from the war god sect looked at that pill and was frightened. Not because of the pill but because the person that their master was interested in was going to fight in a life and deathmatch with the crazy fool that was taking it.
Indeed, after the pill was revealed, Feng Yu swallowed it. Immediately after he swallowed it, his aura exploded. It was an aura filled with malice and hatred higher than the heavens itself.
Stage 9 Houtian...
Stage 1 Xiantian...
Stage 2 Xiantian...
Stage 3 Xiantian...
Stage 5 Xiantian...
The Aura climbed up to Stage 7 Xiantian in a few moments and stopped there. Just the aura was blowing chunks out of the arena. Everyone in the other arena's felt a heavy pressure hit them and it made their faces flushed and some of them even vomited blood.
Eira's family became pale. Eira's father looked at this scene and was about to say something when the referee sent a voice transmission to all of the v.i.p's and guests from afar in the arena hall. "Everyone, calm down. The contestant told me to say a few word to you guys. Her message is "When you want to beat a dog, use the toughest stick!" That is all." This message made everyone speechless. How was she going to use her stage 3 Houtian Cultivation to overcome a stage 7 Xiantian cultivation. No matter which angle they came at this problem, they couldn't figure it out.
Eira was in front of this frightening aura and everyone thought she would be pushed back or maybe even vomit blood. But when everyone looked at Eira, she was smiling. She then took out her own weapon and summoned the lighning from her thunder source at max power.
Everyone felt the wind pick up suddenly. It wasn't just picking up, It started to sting everyone's faces when they felt it. Dark clouds began to form over the arena. These clouds made everyone feel despair and dread but for Feng Yu, he felt more than this. He felt soul suppression. He could feel devil blood in his body trying to leave but it was all for naught.
This is the only move that Eira has that combine all 3 of her energies, spirit energy, essence, and yuan qi.
A heavy pressure hit the entire arena and Feng Yu lost his last chance to move. When he noticed this, his eyes opened wide in horror.
It was Arcs of electricity appeared over Eira's body like a curtain. She sudden lifted her spear slowly. She the pointed her spear at Feng Yu and coldly shouted. "Execute!"
All of the sudden, a bolt of lightning hit the arena. This bolt of lightning hit Feng Yu right on his head.
"Gaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!" Feng Yu let out an anguished scream that sounded neither like a human nor a ghost. Just one bolt of lightning made his blood boil under his skin. Not only did he feel pain all over his body this bolt of lightning also lit his soul on fire.
This scream startled everyone. But when everyone thought the move was over, 2 more bolts landed on him, then 3 bolts, 5 bolts, 8 bolts of lightning struck Feng Yu and when the debris and dust cleared out, all everyone saw was ashes that were disintegrating.
Everyone whether they were young or old, trembled in fear when the bolts of lightning rapidly hit the stage. Even the upper realm representatives were shocked silly when they only saw ashes of that man on the stage. Even though they were frightened by this, nothing scared anyone more than Eira's unfeeling gaze when she stare at his ashes disintegrate into nothingness.
Eira stopped revolving her essence and felt that her whole body was numb. She ignored the feeling and tried to go back to the stands but her vision became blurry. She tried to keep from blacking out but it was futile. "Thud." She immediately fainted onto the stage floor.
It wasn't until she fell that they realized what kind of move she had just used.
Eira's grandfather moved first. When he landed onto the stage, it then started to rain. When the rain fell down, it was surprisingly filled with 3 kinds of energies. Essence, Yuan Qi, and Soul energy. Everyone felt this. They all wanted to absorb as much as they could but before the rain fell too far, it suddenly stopped in midair. It then began to gather over Eira's body. The clouds in the aire began to dissipate as more and more rain gathered. Whe the cloud were no long visible. The rain looked like a small floating pond. This floating pond was filled with Eira's spirit energy, her essence, and her yuan qi.
The pond then began swirl downwards, toward Eira's dantian. When the rain'water' came into contact with her body, it released an aura that no one had ever felt before. It was a gentle aura; feeling like a ray of sunlight when it hits your skin on a cold day. Although it was gentle, it managed to push, Eira's grandfather away from her.
When the rainwater entered Eira's body, it rapidly nourished Eira's dry and burnt meridians and even healed all of her internal injuries. In 10 minutes, all of her meridians and her dantian were healed. Even though this was the case, the rain water fused with her body and began to nourish her soul. It also helped her break through to the 4th layer of the Celestial Body Technique.
When the dantian was filled with this rain water, it began condense into a water source. In 20 minute, her water source was formed and all of the rainwater was gone without a trace.
When the water was finally gone, Eira opened her eyes. An arc of lightning flowed through her eyes and disappeared just as fast as it appeared. She used her arms to push herself up but all the sudden she started to cough up black blood. It smelled really wierd and made her feel dizzy. She wiped her mouth off with her sleeve and tried to get up again. When she got up to her feet, she saw her grandfather and her mother in front of her as well as Elder Yan and patriarch of the Ancient Phoenix Clan, Feng Mo Lie.
When Eira was trying to understand what was going on, Elder Yan spoke first. "Eira Long, please forgive me for not taking care my son the way I should have. I don't know how I can forgive myself for letting it get to this point."
After he finished speaking, he stepped back and let the patriarch of the Ancient Phoenix Clan come forward.
"Little lass, please accept the apologies of this old man. It was due to my negligence that the boy could sneak that evil pill into my Arena hall. I hope you can give my clan a chance to compensate you. Whatever you want, I will do my best to deliver it to you."
Eira finally understood. "You don't have to do any of that. Right now, we should focus on who and where Feng Yu got that pill from. This should be our priority." She looked at the referee and everyone on the other stages. "The tournament can go on now." With this said, she flashed over to where she saw the her friends. When she got over there, Yun Qing couldn't help but ask. "What... was that?"
