Chương 7: First Impression

Outside:

Looking at their backs Mother Li and Mother Zhang couldn't control their tears and started sobbing silently in their husband arms.

Father Li and Father Zhang looked at each other and smiled politely nodding their head.

All of them are happy that Li Jie and zhang Xiaoxi are going to become wife and husband and are going to share their lives together.

Meanwhile, standing in the line Li jie and zhang Xiaoxi were waiting for their turn.

Looking at her hands which are shaking so much due to her nervousness, Li Jie gathered his courage and asked " Are you nervous? "

Not expecting him to start a conversation, Zhang Xiaoxi was startled when he asked the question and looked up.

Their eyes met Again.

Her heart started pounding so hard when she looked at his handsome face. None of the magazine , news paper photos of his could match his actual handsomeness

she didn't know which part of his face is more handsome. She started debating in her brain

" his eyes are beautiful. No no his nose brings rank to his handsomeness . His jawline is also sharp, even his lips are thin, his eyelashes OMG they are so long. How could god do this, there is nothing wrong with his face at all. Look at my nose and lips they are so small and my eyes are big , i don't even have a long eyelashes."

Meanwhile , looking at Xiaoxi who was busy staring at him, Li Jie tried to avoid her gaze.

When she didn't stop staring at him still, he cleared his throat touching his ears and looked away.

Zhang Xiaoxi came to her senses and realised what she has been doing. SHE WAS CAUGHT STARING AT HIM.

She immediately lowered her head embarrassed.

" Omg that was so embarrassing. " Xiaoxi cursed herself inwardly.

Looking at the woman who had her head facing down embarrassed, Li Jie could not help but smile finding her cute.

"Did I just smile. Did i think she is cute?"- Li jie thought.

"Ahem ..Its our turn. Lets go"- said Li Jie who began to walk forward.

"Oh"- acknowledged Zhang Xiaoxi who began follow him.

30 minutes later!!

Holding red booklets in their hands , both the newly weds came out. As soon as their mothers say them. They ran to the newly weds.

"Honey slowdown"

"Sweetheart slow down "

- shouted Father zhang and father Li rushing after their wives.

Li Jie and Xiaoxi thought their mom's are going to hug them. So they opened their arms to hug them.

But instead of hugging them both, the mothers snatched the booklet in their hands and looked at it.

with their arms open wide, Xiaoxi and Li jie looked at each other awkwardly and withdrew their hands.

After looking at the booklets to their hearts content, Mother Li rushed them back home.

Xiaoxi and Li Jie thoughts were all over the place. They didn't even know when their family pushed them into the car and they were on their way to the mansion.

Only when they reached the Li mansion, and Mother Li knocked on their car window, did they come out from their thoughts.

"Get down both of you. Which world are you both dreaming in"-called Mother Li

Getting down from the car " Sorry aunty " said Zhang Xiaoxi

" I am no more you aunty child. I am now your mom, call me that from now on. You are not allowed to call me aunty." Explained mother Li patting her head.

"Be a good girl and call me Mom now" - asked Mother Li.

"Mom" - called Zhang Xiaoxi blushing.

" Good good lets go in come come" mother Li dragged Zhang Xiaoxi leaving behind Li Jie

Sighing at his mother, Li jie tagged along with everyone in to the mansion.

Everyone sat in the living room.

Li jie and Zhang Xiaoxi who sat beside each other were at a one hand distance. Looking at them, Mother Li signalled Li jun.

Understanding the signal from Mother Li, Li Jun spilled the coffee he is holding on the sofa he was sitting.

"Ayoo how clumsy. Sorry !! Bro scoot over please" asked Li jun who already started pushing Li Jie towards Zhang Xiaoxi taking more place than he could sit.

Pushed by his brother, Even before he could retort, his shoulder was already touching zhang Xiaoxi.

As soon as their shoulders touched, both of them became stiff like statues. They were both so scared to move or look at each other.

Looking at them sitting closely , Mother Li and Mother Zhang winked at each other before Mother Li giving Li jun a thumps up.

"Li Jie, even though you guys got married hurriedly, we should follow certain traditions. Come and greet your Mother in law and Father in Law."- said Mother Li.

Li Jie who was busy thinking of a way to avoid sitting so close to Xiaoxi, relaxed a bit when mother Li called him.

Standing up, he walked towards the Zhang Parents. Li jie stopped in front of them and bowed.

"Mom, Dad" - he called.

Getting up from the sofa , Father Li patted Li Jie shoulder "I am giving my precious little girl to you. Please take care of her.

This is the bracelet that My Father in Law gave me when i got married to her saying, this will remind me not to hurt his precious daughter.

Hoping the same i am passing this to you." Said Father Li placing the bracelet in the hands of Li jie.

"Thank you Dad and don't worry i will take care of her"- said Li Jie still awkward too call him Dad.

Understanding his state, Mother zhang took the bracelet from Li jie's hand and hooked it around his wrist" son, dont feel shy, we are your parents as well from now on. You can call us mom and dad whenever you feel comfortable.

And also don't think that you are the only one who has to take care of Xiaoxi in this relationship.

Xiaoxi is your wife now, though it is not a marriage of love, and you did this for our happiness, i hope you both will take care of each other" - said Mother Zhang holding Li Jie's hands.
