"Who the hell is this?" Alex said to himself. "And more importantly, what do they want? They sound as if they expect me to know what they want, and that is even more disturbing." 

As Alex sat in his office, his mind reeling with thoughts and questions.

"Is it money they wanted? Did they want Sophia back? Did they want my life? What exactly was it they wanted, and why do they think I already know?

The only thing I know is that this is a blackmail, aside from that, I am oblivious to any other thing these criminals have in mind." These thoughts raced through Alex's mind, and his worry increased.

"What the hell do these guys want, and why wouldn't they just come out and face me? They are being cowards, and they better pray that I shouldn't find them because once I do, they will regret ever threatening me." Alex said in mind.

Alex's mind drifted into thoughts about different scenarios. Suddenly, his phone rang, bringing him out of his daydream.
