Chương 102: Birthday (1)

The moment the Emperor's presence was announced, everyone stood up and kowtowed to welcome him while wishing him all the good things they could think of. 

"Long live your Majesty! May the heavens bless your new age! May you live for thousands and thousands of years and may your reign continue to be prosperous! May you find inner peace as abundant as the sea and clouds! May your greatest wishes come true on this day! May the burdens of your heart be let down…!" 

"Rise,"

"Rise!!!" 

Everyone stood to their feet with their heads lowered. 

"Take your seats," the Emperor said.

"Thank you, your Majesty!" They all chorused and took their seats according to their statuses.

The ceremonial hall was very large, it could contain around a thousand people. The hall was divided into two sections. One for males, and the other for females.  However, because it was not divided by a veil, the Emperor who was sitting on the high platform could see both the males and females clearly.
