“That's right, it was you…” the prince reaffirmed once again.
“Me? Are you sure that the woman in your dream was really me? Did you clearly see what she looked like?” I ask as I struggle to believe him.
“I think it's similar to your dreams. I didn't see her directly. However, I clearly saw her eyes and their unique quality,” he replied with certainty in his voice.
“Her eyes?” I murmured.
“That's right. Her eyes were of a slightly different color from each other's. Just like yours…” he replied before grinning my way.
My hand instinctively flew to my eyes as I was reminded of this birth defect that I've had ever since I was born. My eyes had always been a slightly different color for each other and many people at the orphanage were freaked out by it. I had never thought that this abnormality was anything but weird and burdensome.
“Your eyes are very attractive, Mila,” the prince said as if he could sense my troubled feelings.
