CHAPTER VII: CLIENT VILLAGE
In front of me sat Mr Pock, the village chief. To his left was his son Cole. To his right was his wife Mary.
Mr Pock was a slightly tall skinny man with a bushy moustache. Wearing typical farming attire of wool, cotton and leather. He was about 40 but that was just speculation.
Cole was basically a younger slightly more muscular version of his father. They're both not lookers. Mary on the other hand is about my height. Average looks and small oppai. Altogether a very average looking family.
"My name is Eto and I'm here for the quest!" I began and placed the quest on the table infront of me.
They all looked at me with worryful eyes.
"Something the matter?" I asked.
"Well you see... It has been a full two weeks since the quest to the guild!" Pock began.
"From what we've heard, goblins rape the girls and they basically become breeding cows for them!" Mary added.
They were very hesitant and I grasped her point.
"So you fear that it's too late?" I guessed. They timidly nod to confirm my theory. "So am I correct in assuming you wish to cancel the quest?"
"No! Of course not! We still want the girls back but the things is... what if they're too far gone?" Cole jumped in with great energy.
I'm guessing it wasn't only his sister that was taken. Maybe also a fiance or love interest of some sort.
To be honest I don't know shit about how long it takes for humans to give birth to goblins. I'm guessing it's not 9 months but I assume it's also not 2 weeks. At least I hope not.
If they're still in the initial gestation period I can still save them. If not then let's hope they can still abort them. It's already been a fortnight, everyday that passed they pump those girls full of Goblin baby juice. I want to throw up just imagining it.
Mr Pock continued to explain the goblin attack from a fortnight ago. A group of 60 or so goblins attacked the village in the middle of the night. They kidnapped 15 females between the ages of 15 and 35 before they were chased away by the villagers.
The villagers put up a quest on the guild but their reward was too low for the difficulty of the quest, hence none came.
From the villagers own investigation, they figured a Goblin Chief had evolved hence the amount of goblins that gathered.
Well that confirms it, I was right to choose this quest. With determination I stood up and looked at Pock and his family.
"Time is of the essence, lead me to their hideout!" I told them. "I don't know if it's too late but I'm sure we can think of something!"
"Are you sure about this!?" Cole asked.
"Look, you don't have to pay me but I still need to find the goblins so that this doesn't happen again! All I need you to do is lead me to them!" I answered him.
He turned to his father who nodded to approve
"Okay then... follow me!" He said and we exited the house.
Almost immediately we start running towards the forest to the east. I could easily keep up with him even though I had this heavy sword. Some of the villagers looked at us as we ran along.
Soon enough we entered the forest. Cole stopped running and sneakily walked about. Suddenly cautious of everything around him. We continue to walk for about an hour.
Something suddenly popped up in front of me. A familiar looking holographic screen with big red letters.
"WARNING"
GOBLIN CHIEF DETECTED!
MISSION 1 PENDING!
START OR SKIP!
Almost instinctively I thought of start. The screen quickly turned to a count down.
59 minutes 59 seconds...
58...
57...
56...
Okay so I had roughly an hour.
"Eto!!" Cole suddenly called me ove.
He stood near an entrance to a cave.
