Tóm tắt

(This Story Takes Place In AU So, Don't Expect To Go Things As It Was In the Original Mahabharat.)

Hindu x Greek x Norse (Mythologies Included)

*******************

My name is Aditya. I am a seventeen-year-old who used to live in Kurukshetra, Haryana, and, of course, an orphan. Life was ordinary until a tragic accident took me away from the modern world—only to be reborn in a time I had only read about in history books: the Mahabharata era.

As for how I got to this conclusion? Well, the answer to that question lies with the man-god sitting far away from me with a mischievous smile on his handsome face—Lord Krishna.

It seems my memories awakened at a significant moment: the Swayamvara of Draupadi. Standing amidst an assembly of kings and warriors, I watch as Karna is insulted and humiliated for his lower caste. The tension in the air was palpable, and I realized that I was witnessing one of the most pivotal events in the Mahabharata. My heart raced with both excitement and dread. But as I tried to process this, something even stranger happened—a voice echoed in my mind.

[Welcome, User! You have activated the Gacha System.]

What on earth? Or rather, what in the Mahabharata? Before I could even fully comprehend the situation, I felt a strange pull within me, like an invisible force connecting me to something far greater. The system interface appeared in front of my eyes, listing various abilities, weapons, and companions—all locked behind a gacha mechanism.

Apparently, I had been reincarnated not just as a mere observer but with a cheat ability straight out of a video game. The Gacha System allowed me to draw random skills, weapons, or even templates from the grand pool of every mythological lore. But there was a catch: each draw required "Fate Points," and earning those points meant altering the events of this world.

As I stood there, watching the unfolding drama with Karna, I realized that I was no longer just a bystander. I had the power to change history, for better or worse. But meddling with destiny in such a grand tale came with unimaginable consequences. What if I anger the gods? What if I change the fate of heroes like Arjuna, Karna, or Bhishma? The weight of it all hit me like a thunderbolt.

Still, one thing was certain—I couldn't let things play out the way they did in the original story, not if I had the power to make things right. With the Gacha System at my side, I had the chance to rewrite the Mahabharata itself.

But I needed to be cautious. Lord Krishna’s knowing gaze seemed to pierce through me as if he already knew about my unique circumstances. Was he testing me? Guiding me? Or simply waiting to see how my actions would shape the future?

Then let's start with this event itself.

Disclaimer: Remember, this is a fanfiction about Mahabharata. Not "Original" Mahabharata. I have no intention to harm anyone's religious belief, I am just writing a what-if story from my perspective. If you don't like it, So I kindly request you not read further this.

Let me go over one by one. Writing Quality had become great. I read and reviewed one of the author's previous books and from there, his writing quality has jumped way higher. There are no Grammer mistakes, at least none I could catch. There is a bit too much exposition sometimes, like explaining the customs of the land and their significance along with describing the reactions of the supporting main leads a bit too extensively. The first is needed in all respects lest the readers feel alienated but the latter could have been toned down just a bit, but that's just my opinion. Story Development so far is great. The author really catches your attention and doesn't let go. me, personally, I didn't like the addition of the harem from Greek mythology but that's just my personal preference. I do feel that it was revealed too soon, but then again, revealing it too late might have led to the readers growing attached to Draupadi only. Characters are all dynamic and serve their own purpose. Especially the character of Krishna was so beautifully added. I do have some bias about the way the author underlines the Dynamic between the Kauravas and the Pandavas though. In a lot of literary and TV media, you always see the authors or the directors take a side and support a particular group and the author does the same and supports the Kauravas. But there stands to reason that no one in the Mahabharata is actually a good character. They're certainly not bad as they are followers of Dharma, but they are evil in a way that does not violate the Dharma of that age and that has been beautifully underlined in the original Epic. But then again, these are all creative choices and the author writes the characters beautifully. Update Stablility is great. World Background instantly gets a five star since the work it's trying to adapt is so expansive and complex by itself. it can make way for a lot of interesting philosophical and narrative moments. and the existence of other myths only aids to that. Wish you well author! keep writing!

So, this is definitely AI gen work. I am not just making things up here, I have attached proof. This isn't even the most advanced AI detector. You can literally use anyone on the internet to check how bad this is. Now onto the next part: The MCs character is annoying, he has a very shallow character. But I can ignore that as a blank slate for reader to self insert themselves like most Japanese protagonists. But even then I cannot ignore the story progression. Gandhari making decisions for him in front of Indira, while saying she'll save him. The annoying fact that Krishna already knew about his reincarnation but if that was not enough, he added oil to the fire by telling him more about himself, the system too. Just makes you wonder where this is going. He is going for Pandava friendship, while the Pandavas don't even want him. The only good thing I found in the 20+ chapters is the bow battle against Arjun, and that's it. Also, I'll mention something else which is very annoying. A lot of chapters are told from another view all over again. This is clearly a way to increase chapter count. Don't get me wrong, multiple POVs are a good thing, but what the author is doing instead is telling you a summary of first two chapters in the new 3rd chapter. This seems an honestly bad writing decision at best and a really evil ploy to scam us for more money while giving 2/3 of the content at worst. I'll give the author the benefit of the doubt and hope it's the former. Tbf neither the story decisions nor the characters are likeable. All the people you are supposed to like, you'll dislike and all the ones you are supposed to dislike, you will dislike too :). Basically nothing to root for in the story. I have read till 40+ chaps for now. Just one above the free version, I might sound critical, but this is a paid novel. I will be paying for it, so it has to be worth the money, and with the glaring issues I doubt it is that. All that being said. These are just the issues I had, so, I thought I'll point them out. However, I do know that writing is hard, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Just be positive and try not to use AI, it strips the soul off your work, and you'll not really improve either. Good Luck Man.

I don't why the author exposed the mc's system and actually said krishna already know his reincarnation are you saying mc will never be at krishna level even with system help?

Very good. Even though i don't particularly like harem genre and now it's in Mahabharat no less but I guess i can ignore it if the romance is written well. (I know that in Mahabharat, kings used to have multiple wives)

truthfully speaking i would have rather not wanted harem , always seeing chinese novels I was fascinated my first Indian mythology book here and it's tainted by this , if someone has similar recommendations with no harem and only Mahabharat please reply . if not for that I would have loved this genre this is one of my favourite ones too
