The team did not seem as happy as I was however, as Claire muttered, "But so many died…"
I shook my head, replying, "This was a 15 men difficulty mission, of course there were going to be casualties. And there will be more in the future. But for now, we survived, and it is time for rest. I have things to tell you, but right now I need to sleep. Do not buy anything other than Human Creation while I am not here."
I didn't wait for their response, and turned to look at Sarah, who was within her own creations' arms, adding, "I'll leave the explaining to you?"
Sarah nodded tiredly, to which I smiled, before I headed for my house.
---
I slept like a baby, for an entire 12 hours. This was a lot, as with my enhanced stats, I required far less sleep than the normal person. This was probably the equivalent of sleeping for more than 24 hours for the normal person, if not more.
Walking out of my house with a yawn, I realized there wasn't anyone outside. Moreover, now that I wasn't dead tired, I noticed something I hadn't noticed yesterday. There was a golden tablet levitating behind God. I don't even know how I didn't notice it.
Since I was alone, I decided to approach it.
'When a team has broken at least three Genetic Constraints, a team becomes eligible to enter Team Fights, and encounter other Teams. Killing a member from another Team who hasn't unlocked their Genetic Constraint will reward 2000 Points. Killing a member who has unlocked the Genetic Constraint will reward increasing rewards, depending on the number of Genetic Constraints unlocked. Eliminating the entire enemy team rewards every member of your Team with a Rank C Reward.'
That certainly was quite the incentive to kill the other teams. There was also another bit of information.
'Every Team has a rating, which will not only decide which Team they will face, but also in which order the teams will enter the world. The weaker teams will enter earlier, and the stronger ones will enter last.'
And that was it. Moreover, we would soon get to test this new type of mission, as it was our next mission.
While I was reading this, it seemed my team had noticed me, as they got out of Sarah's house, and as they reached me, I said, "Well, we might as well get everything done. Follow me."
They said nothing as I started walking. Reaching God, I quickly looked for my prize, and confirmed my purchase.
[Chosen Force Sensitivity: Gain 25000 Midi-chlorians per cell. Costs Rank A Reward and 6000 Points. Requires High Force Sensitivity.]
I was excited to get this already, but I still kept in mind there was something beyond. Anakin Skywalker, as the Chosen One, was known to have the greatest potential in the Force, ever.
And I was about to get it.
[-6000 Points and Rank A Reward]
The moment the purchase was completed, the particles flew over from God to me, and this time there were so many of them that I seemingly turned into a miniature version of God as I was completely covered in them.
I couldn't see anything, nor could others see me. Still, as God worked on my cells, adding Midi-chlorians to them, I said, "With this mission, I received the position of Team Leader. And by that I mean that God officially appointed me as the Team Leader of our Team. You should have seen the Golden Tablet, right?"
Sarah was the one to reply for the group, "We did."
I nodded, although none of them could see it, and continued, "One of the benefits from becoming the Team Leader was that I have become capable of knowing where our next mission will send us."
Asher asked with a serious tone, "Where will it be?"
"The Boys. And it will be a Team Fight, meaning we will encounter another Team."
Everything turned silent as they processed what they were told. I left them some time, before I resumed my explanations of my new powers as the Team Leader.
By the time I finished my explanation, God also finished his transformation of my body as the particles disappeared, and I landed back on the ground.
I felt… different. Something important to note about Midi-chlorian count in one's cell is that the increase in potential and power doesn't move up proportionally. Someone with 20000 Midi-chlorian wasn't twice as talented as someone with 10000.
And in the same way, the difference between High Force Sensitivity and Chosen Force Sensitivity wasn't merely 25%, although it went from 20000 to 25000.
To put things in perspective, Anakin joined the Jedi Order when he was 9 years old, and by the time of Revenge of the Sith, 13 years have passed. And by then, Anakin is said to have reached the heights of Yoda and Darth Sidious in raw power in the force. The two were the best masters of the Light and Dark Side of the Force in their era, and all it took Anakin to reach their level from zero was 13 years.
Moreover, Anakin never reached his full potential, be it in power or in training. He trained in the Jedi Ways, where emotions were to be ruled in and temperance was the greatest virtue. But Anakin not only was arrogant because of his own talent, he also was plagued with traumas of the past. Moreover, he also wasn't very hard working. Finally, he joined the Order when he was 9, which was years older than any other Jedi.
And yet, despite all these circumstances that would have made anyone else into a mediocre Jedi even with decades of training, Anakin reached the peak of the galaxy in 13 years.
That's how big the difference between 20000 and 25000 Midi-chlorians was.
Even now, I could feel it. I had grown much closer to the Force, and any Force Abilities would be much easier to use, and learning new ones wouldn't be hard.
And unlike Anakin, I wasn't torn between the Light and the Dark Side. I would use this enhancement to its full potential, reaching power Anakin could never have.
After all, the reason Force Masters, be it Jedi or Sith, did not grow infinitely stronger, was because of the weakness of their physical bodies. I did not have that problem.
Meanwhile, as they digested the information I had given them, Johnathan asked, "What about Chris?"
I looked at Jonathan, and shook my head, "I tried to stop him, but he insisted on coming. He ended up dying to Konoha's Root."
As I said that, I turned to look at Claire, the teammate I had the least seen, and asked, "Did you accompany Mifune to the battlefield?"
Claire showed a wry face as she replied, "No, I stayed in the Land of Iron. I was tired from running all the way, and I figured I wouldn't be of much use anyway."
I nodded, as she was right.
Rolling my shoulders, I pointed at God and said, "Before we deal with your enhancements, a rule. No use of the Return without asking for it. And don't try to sneak it, because once someone or a group returns to a world, no one will be able to return after them before the next mission."
They nodded, and I added, "Good. So, those enhancements?"
So everyone can see it, the reason I decided to make a change in last chapter with leadership level was because I did not think it made much sense. In the original novel when someone becomes a Team leader they earn one level of Genetic Constraint. In the novel, it went fine becasue Zheng unlocks the Third Genetic Constraint, which is basically useless, so this doesn't throw everything off, but since I changed the Third Constraint, it would be too big of a boost.
Besides, God's Game was created to send people through life and death situations, and only allow those capable of evolving and opening their Genetic Constraint to live. Simply giving one for free felt cheap, and counter productive.
