After Leonard met up with Edward, they quickly got into the city- of course not without him asking who were the group of people that look like the Nomadic tribe of the violet that had been following them.
"So...who are they? ... they seem...unique…" Edward whispered to Leonard.
"They're my friends, people who helped me out," Leonard told Edward the mostly faked - but somewhat truth about his little adventurer that he had taken for the past year.
Leonard continued to tell his story as they walked into the large metropolis of the medieval age where magic prospered.
When they reached their destination, it was a large hotel like establishmentes that was right within the middle of the city itself, extremely high classes- comparable to that of the five stars hotel in Leonard past life, Grand, Stylist and...insanely expensive.
Seeing that they stood at the front entrance of a grand and luxurious establishment within the city, the convoy of the Red Eagle tribe stopped in their track and viewed the wonder that they would probably only had the chance of seeing once in their very life.
"It is magnificent!" the old elder of the Red Eagle tribe couldn't help but blurt out his admiration out loud for all to hear.
"Come in everyone, don't worry about it- this establishment belongs to my family so all your expense will be covered- since you guys helped out my big brother," Edward informed the awestruck group of Nomadic people who stood there with their mouth wide open, admiring the magnificent that the city had to offer.
"You own this place?" Leonard looked at the fat ball of meat and fat with a face filled with astonishment for him.
"Technically it isn't me who own this, legally it's my dad that owned it- however since he rarely visits this part of the country and would prefer to do business in the Empire, he left most of the business our family own in the kingdom to me for management...I swear he tried to overwork me! Look I even lost a few kilos of meat and fats!" Edward complained as he had a face of being wronged greatly displayed for all to see.
"...oh please, I don't see anything that had been lost...in fact, there might be a few extra kilos added in." Leonard's face was twitching as he looked at his friend Edward.
"Come on in, I'm sure that you are all tire." Edward quickly beckoned all the people into the grand hallway that was brightly lit by glass chandeliers hanging on the ceiling.
"Reserves rooms for all these peoples and the one waiting outside, they are my guests- also give me two luxurious suits on the V.I.P sections," Edward ordered the clerk woman- whom quickly scribbled down his order into a large book before she quickly called out the bellhops to lead all the people to their rooms.
"Let go have dinner, I'm sure you are hungry- the food here literally has to die for!" Edward exaggerated the foods and shamelessly promoting it out.
*****
At the dinner table.
Leonard was sitting with Sachi and Edward, facing a table full of food- yet now most were half emptied by a single person.
Once again, Leonard was having another great deja-vu moment, as he witnesses, Edward stuffed himself with a table full of foods with a gusto might.
He wonders how the hell can a man eat so much, yet not exploded due to the large volume of organic matters consumption.
"You're not eating?" Edward asked as he munched on the bone of a chicken drumstick and ripped it into pieces, both flesh and bone were crushed under the might of this pig teeth as he had the gut to ask why Leonard and Sachi aren't having any food yet.
Leonard facial feature was twitching violently as he continued to watch the pig finishing the last plate of food.
"Sachi...you lost your appetite too right…?" Leonard asked Sachi who sit next to him, she too had a pair of dead looking eyes after she watched the great show that had played out right in front of her.
All she did was nodded, however, her stomach said otherwise though, as it was growling and making all kind of weird noises, which made her flushed red.
"Waiter- please call out for more foods!" Edward who heard the strange noises that Sachi has been making and being the "gentlemen" that he "always" was called out for more foods.
"...I thought you had completely forgotten about the two of us Edward...such good friend you are." Leonard tried to fake a smile, however, his eyebrow was twitching, making it look quite strange.
"How could I forget about you, my good brother! And my soon to be sister-in-law!" Edward grinned as he casually wiped his mouthful of food with a piece of cloth.
A few minutes later, the food that he had asked for finally arrived, and this time, he actually set out a portion, specifically reserved for his two guests- instead of devouring it like the first time, albeit he still devoured 75% of the other remaining food that he ordered.
"Just eat up Sachi," Leonard told her before turning to Edward while having a serious look on his face.
"Hey Edward, tell me something." he looks at the hungry ghost that was before him.
"Yeah! Just say it, what do you want to know." Edward answered him as he was stuffing down a steamed bun down his throat.
"How long have I been gone for, and what's the situation like with the war between the three kingdoms?" Leonard as curious about the situation of this world since the day he had arrived back, who's better to ask for useful information than his trusty- pig-like greedy miser of a friend that his Edward.
"Oh- you don't know? Since the day that you disappeared for roughly a year and a half, it was hectic! The trades between the Rosen Kingdom and the Holy Kingdom collapsed- and so does those countries economy, it was miserable for those kingdoms as first- your dad, the Duke of Ironwood had led an army of five thousand and invaded far into the Kingdom- while down south here, the Windstad family took on the Holy kingdom itself- it only ended when both of those countries signed a treaty and surrendered most of their land to us." after he finished saying that Edward grabbed a fried fish and munched down onto it like cracker.
"Wait- did the Royal family just let it happen?" Leonard who was having a nice drink of high-quality wine and almost choked on it when he listened to Edward keep going on and on about the "heroic" deed of his family and soon to be in-law.
"Of course! I don't know anything specific, but the Royal family literally did nothing, they just sit there, and enjoyed the show with popcorns." Edward then tossed a chicken bone away.
"I even heard a rumor that the king himself ordered for more reinforcement to the two other great houses in their conquest, I say that he's quite smart, using such an opportunity like this to expanded the country out even further," Edward added.
However just before he stopped with the storytelling, Edward gave him a shocking surprise, quite a delightful one at that too.
"I also heard that your brother did some investigation as to why the church helped the Rosen fucker to invade us, and guess what?" Leonard crawled on top of the table and pushed the plate away.
"He found a mine full of Energy crystal near the former border of the Holy Kingdom, however, unfortunately, it was right behind that of our own," he whispered to Leonard.
"My my! Isn't this a great surprise!" Leonard smiled in delight as he heard the last part of the conversation.
It's official! I got the flu.
