The vast land echoed with the roars of beasts and the calls of birds. Various fluctuations spread through the air, each carrying destructive power, and even a small misstep could lead to death. In the wild, even True Gods had to be extremely cautious, fearing the provocation of some terrifying beasts.
Whoosh!
A spatial ripple swept across the sky, marking the passage of Luo Feng, his servant Morosa, and Mo Yuhu. They traversed through space, heading straight toward Huyang City, cutting through obstacles as they went.
"There's an Eternal True God."
"It must be an Eternal True God."
From afar, the beasts that had been roaring earlier immediately dived underwater in fear, and the flocks of flying beasts hurriedly avoided the area. As the spatial ripple passed, silence fell across the land.
No beast dared to make a sound.
"All the beasts have gone quiet." A team of True God explorers watched the distant spatial ripple, full of envy and admiration. "Anyone who dares to be so bold in the wild must be an Eternal True God."
"If I could become an Eternal True God in this lifetime..." one team member sighed.
"Chanmuhe, you're dreaming too big! My wish is much smaller; as long as I can settle in Huyang City, I'll be satisfied."
"Huyang City? That's a large city, and just living there for one epoch costs a Chaos Crystal. Can you afford that?"
The True Gods chatted briefly before continuing on their journey.
...
Luo Feng's group flew onward, cutting through everything in their path.
"So this is how an Eternal True God travels?" Mo Yuhu was intoxicated by the experience. "In the past, whenever I left the city, I was always cautious, hiding my aura. But this unrestrained, carefree flight—this is true freedom!"
Meanwhile, Luo Feng and Morosa were observing the Origin Continent.
Before, they had only understood it through intelligence reports, but now they were seeing it with their own eyes. Towering mountains stretching for millions of miles, endless rivers, deep and mysterious lakes, and various magical beasts all intrigued Luo Feng and Morosa.
The beasts, sensing danger from afar, quickly hid.
"They are quite perceptive."
Luo Feng didn't bother with these weaker beasts. First, each beast had unique talents, making them difficult to capture. Second, weak beasts held too little value to be worth his effort.
"Supreme, up ahead is the lair of an Eternal True God-level beast," Mo Yuhu pointed to a distant location. "That beast is called the Horned Serpent. It burrows underground, and even Huyang City's army has tried to capture it several times without success."
"Horned Serpent?" Luo Feng's interest was piqued.
An Eternal True God-level beast was highly valuable!
Having arrived on the Origin Continent with nothing, Luo Feng was unwilling to sell his rare treasures. Naturally, he needed to find a way to earn resources.
"Continue to maintain the aura of a Void True God. Don't scare away the Horned Serpent," Luo Feng communicated telepathically.
"Yes, Master." Morosa, possessing a perfect god body, disguised his aura flawlessly. Ever since arriving on the Origin Continent, he had been maintaining the aura of a Void True God. As a Sector Beast, coming to the Origin Continent required absolute discretion. Given enough time and energy, he would eventually grow to his peak.
However, Luo Feng needed sufficient challenges to grow.
Luo Feng, Morosa, and Mo Yuhu slowed down, suppressing their auras as they approached the Horned Serpent's lair.
Buzz~~~
From deep within the distant mountains, a massive golden eye faintly observed Luo Feng and his companions. Instantly, Luo Feng felt the spatial pressure increase a billionfold, the space around him warping, and nearby mountains, rocks, and trees silently crumbled into dust.
Luo Feng's divine power instinctively resisted the terrifying pressure, shielding his companions.
"Eternal True God, what is your purpose?" The massive Horned Serpent in the mountain depths eyed Luo Feng warily, its thoughts reaching out from afar.
Luo Feng didn't respond, instead rushing directly toward the mountain.
"Bold enough to pursue me, are you?" The Horned Serpent's thoughts taunted as it suddenly vanished.
Luo Feng halted, sensing that the Horned Serpent had delved deep into the earth and was continuing to flee even further underground.
"Earth burrowing?" Luo Feng frowned. "The time, space, and even matter on the Origin Continent are incredibly stable. Even for me, burrowing underground is challenging. Yet this Horned Serpent disappeared instantly. It must have mastered some law of the earth."
"Master, shall we continue the chase?" Morosa asked.
"We can't catch it." Luo Feng shook his head.
He had mastered the source of life and death, and Morosa excelled in the Destruction Dao. Both were better suited to direct combat, with only average proficiency in "earth burrowing."
"These beasts are indeed remarkable. Despite their low intelligence, they naturally grasp the laws of the source through their bloodlines. Some of the most elite beasts even possess Divine King-level power through their bloodlines alone," Luo Feng marveled.
"Master, that Horned Serpent is truly timid," Morosa remarked.
"It does have a small amount of courage," Luo Feng chuckled. The moment it sensed him from afar, it immediately fled underground.
"Not that I can blame them," Luo Feng said. "These Eternal True God-level beasts only possess such power because of their bloodline talents. However, the cultivators of various races have mastered secret techniques, wield powerful weapons, and even comprehend the essence of laws. At the same level, an Eternal True God-level beast generally cannot defeat an Eternal True God. So, it's rare to find one brave enough to engage an Eternal True God head-on."
"But when one does dare to fight, it's not just any ordinary Eternal True God-level beast," Luo Feng added. "Among these beasts, some are extraordinarily powerful for their level."
Beasts with such immense strength typically had even more unique and valuable bloodlines, sometimes worth as much as ten or more ordinary beasts. Luo Feng looked forward to encountering such a beast.
"Hunting an Eternal True God-level beast is indeed challenging," Luo Feng shook his head, not wanting to waste any more time. "Let's continue."
Eternal True God-level beasts typically lived in environments suited to their bloodline talents, making them particularly adept at escaping.
Whoosh.
Luo Feng, Morosa, and Mo Yuhu resumed their journey toward Huyang City.
...
Deep within the mountains, two teams of Void True Gods were locked in battle.
"We are Team C-One from Huyang City's Nine Banquet Hall. We're only here to gather food; please show us some mercy," a rocky being struggled to defend himself. The team he led originally had over a hundred members, but now all the True Gods were dead, leaving only three Void True Gods struggling to hold on.
They hadn't expected that even a relatively safe task like gathering food could be so dangerous.
The ten shadows attacking them showed no mercy, coordinating their efforts to annihilate them quickly.
"If they're going to kill us for no reason, we'll drag at least one of them down with us!"
"Fight to the death!"
The two remaining Void True Gods were driven mad, with one spreading golden wings and unleashing a terrifying surge of energy.
"Your speed is too slow," a deep voice rumbled.
The three members of Team C-One from Nine Banquet Hall were still in the midst of their desperate struggle, but as that deep voice echoed, their bodies silently disintegrated, even their souls dissolving in an instant, leaving only their equipment behind.
"Commander, we were useless," the ten gray shadows said respectfully.
"Carry on. Kill every living thing in this area," the deep voice ordered.
"Commander," the lead shadow hesitated, "we're on a mission to reach Huyang City by a deadline. Today is the last day."
"Just do your job," the deep voice commanded.
"Yes, sir."
The lead shadow dared not say more. The ten shadows silently resumed guarding the vast area, killing any living beings that passed through.
A terrifying force was hidden in this vast area, concealing its core.
Within the core area, a green plant was growing, topped with a small, shimmering blue-purple flower! The fragrance spread, causing the surrounding energy to become chaotic.
Beside the plant, a figure in a black robe sat watching.
"To think, while leaving the Shi Nation to take up my post in Huyang City, I would come across a 'Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower' maturing. This flower looks ordinary and unremarkable until it blooms... but once it does, its fragrance affects the soul, making it very noticeable. The blooming period lasts about ten days, and it must naturally fall before it can be used in medicine." The black-robed figure's eyes gleamed with desire. "It's said that the Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower can only be nurtured in the blood-soaked land of a Divine King's battle. This one flower is worth at least 100,000 Universe Sand."
"After all my years of cultivation, all my weapons and treasures combined are only worth one or two thousand Universe Sand," the black-robed figure's eyes burned with greed. "If any Eternal True God discovers this, they'll fight me for it. If word gets out, even the army from Huyang City might come to seize it."
"Only a few days remain until it naturally falls," the black-robed figure waited patiently.
He couldn't allow any information about this place to leak out. Even though he had done his best to conceal it, he feared that any passing being might sense something, so he had ordered all who passed through to be killed.
Suddenly—
The black-robed figure frowned slightly and took out a communication token.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Hei Duomo, why haven't you arrived at Huyang City yet?" a deep, mountainous voice asked. "According to the marquis's orders, today is the last day. You must reach Huyang City."
"I've been delayed, so I ask for your understanding, President Zanyun," Hei Duomo replied with a light laugh. "There shouldn't be anything urgent in Huyang City that requires my immediate attention, right?"
"Huyang City is, after all, the city of the Yu Nation, and our Shi Nation's branch there is always short on Eternal True Gods," the deep voice softened. "I won't report your delay, but you should reach Huyang City as soon as possible."
"Don't worry, I'll be there within ten days," Hei Duomo replied.
Soon, the communication ended.
Hei Duomo smiled and put away the communication token. Military orders had little binding force on Eternal True Gods. They were already the core elites, and minor infractions were usually overlooked.
"Right now, nothing is more important than this Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower," Hei Duomo thought as he gazed at the fully blooming, fragrant blue-purple flower, his eyes filled with obsession.
...
Luo Feng, Morosa, and Mo Yuhu continued flying through the void, heading straight for Huyang City.
"Hmm?" Luo Feng suddenly looked off into the distance, sensing something in the distant mountains. He detected a terrifying force lurking deep within, along with a faint trace of blue and purple.
"A rare treasure?" Luo Feng's interest was piqued.
Among Eternal True Gods, there were vast differences in power.
God bodies varied in size, the purity of divine power differed, the mastery of the source laws varied, and the secret techniques practiced and weapons wielded all influenced an Eternal True God's strength.
As a perfect god body, which was even stronger than the Infinite God Body, Luo Feng's god body was vast and immense when fully revealed. Naturally, his sensory range far exceeded that of ordinary Eternal True Gods.
His sensitivity and control over auras had reached an incredible level. Even some ancient beings would need to rely on causality, space-time, or other methods to glimpse any truth about Luo Feng.
"There must be an Eternal True God hiding there, concealing the aura of a rare treasure," Luo Feng's eyes lit up. "Heavenly treasures are birthed by the heavens and earth, and they belong to no one. The capable shall obtain them!"
As he thought this, Luo Feng casually stored Mo Yuhu inside the Star Tower.
