Nami was determined to find a way to get rid of Alan and the others once they reached Shields Town and make her escape with the treasure. She believed that they would never be able to find her again. With these thoughts in mind, she approached Alan, Luffy, and the others and innocently declared that she would be their navigator.
Alan wasted no time and handed her a prepared contract called the "Long-Term Hire Maid Support Deed Contract." Nami's smile froze as she skimmed through the contract. It stipulated that she would be hired as the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates, with a monthly commission of 10 million Baileys and a total payment of 10 billion Baileys over an 80-year period. It also outlined her obligations and warned of severe penalties if she breached the contract.
Nami inwardly cursed Alan for presenting her with what seemed like a slave contract, but she forced herself to maintain a smile and signed it, all the while plotting her escape. Kirby, sensing that something might be amiss, hesitated, feeling that the contract might be a trap.
After Nami signed the contract, Alan took it back and made it disappear like magic. Nami introduced herself with a smile and asked for their guidance as the navigator. Luffy, still enthusiastic, introduced himself as the man who wanted to become the Pirate King. Alan, staring at Nami's performance, chose not to disclose any further information about her, confident that he held all the cards.
With the contract signed, Nami pretended to be relaxed, though she couldn't help blushing when she remembered Alan's earlier flirtatious hints. She reminded herself that she was an innocent and cute little thief cat and nothing more. Kirby, not part of the Straw Hat Pirates but grateful for Luffy's rescue, introduced himself to Nami.
Nami smiled politely, though her focus was primarily on Alan, the mysterious magician who intrigued and annoyed her at the same time. She couldn't help but wonder about his true intentions and secrets.
The adventure continued as the Straw Hat Pirates, with Nami now their navigator, set sail towards their next destination, Shields Town, where fate awaited them all.
