Aboard the negotiator (Obi-wans flagship)
Obi-wan and his fleet of 10 venators were in hyperspace traveling towards Christophsis while Anakin's fleet had an entirely different plan. A plan incredibly dangerous that if you were a second late, it would cost you your life.
"Anakin don't test you luck in this plan please. If your even a second late you'll die." Obi-wan says warning him.
"When have i ever not tested my luck master." Anakin says jokingly.
"Anakin." Obi-wan says sternly.
"Don't worry master. Me and rex will make sure he's kept in check." Ashoka says.
"Hey. I know what I'm doing." Anakin says sounding offended while placing a hand over his heart.
With all of their jokes finished the atmosphere starts to get serious with Obi-wans next words.
"So your fleet will join the battle in about 10 minutes after I engage them right?" Obi-wan questions him.
"Yes. If everything goes smoothly on our end it should take us around that time to catch up to you." Anakin says.
"Good. I'll see you when you make it to the battlefield assuming you make it out in one piece." Obi-wan says raising a brow.
"Haha very funny. I'll talk to you later during the battle." Anakin says as the transmission between the three is cut.
"Let's just hope they don't take out all of my ships before you make it there." Obi-wan says.
After a few minutes a clone tells Obi-wan they will arrive in a few seconds and the battle may even start immediately after they jump out of hyperspace.
True to his words after they exit hyperspace three of Obi-wans venators are immediately shot down by the Terrans before they can even get a visual on them.
"Not even a second in the battle and we already lost warships." Obi-wan says trying to think of a way to at least buy time.
"Launch all fighters and tell them to protect our ships from their bombers." Kenobi tells a clone officer.
"Right away sir." The clone says relaying his message to the fleet.
As the fighters are taking off the Terran ships fire their Mac guns with some of them being near misses and one of them that did hit, it hit the bridge of a venator destroying the entire thing.
Just as things were possibly going to get worse a clone yells out.
"Sir multiple ships are appearing out of hyperspace." A clone says.
Seconds after he said that. Twenty venators and ten arquitens belonging to Anakin shows up but insanely close to the Terran ships as they open fire with their turboblasters. One of them even collides against a Paris frigate damaging both of the ships side.
With these turn of events Obi-wan takes a sigh of relief because if they were to stay out there any longer the battle would have been done.
"Am I'm glad to see him." Obi-wan says to himself.
"Have the bombers attack their smaller ships. They will hopefully be to occupied with Anakin to deal with us because at this rate we might even have to retreat." Kenobi says to an officer as seconds later squads of y-wings make a course to attack the hostile fleet.
As the battle continues the balance of power is shifted as any side can take the battle to their favor.
Terran pov
After Anakin's arrival the only thing that can describe the battle in space is chaos as the battle formation they had earlier is completely gone and their first naval lost has just begun as a Paris frigate explodes under a rain of fire from multiple venators.
"All Paris class frigates retreat to the surface. You don't have the armor to withstand their weapon's at this range" captain laskey says over the comms.
As the ships he ordered tries to retreat the ten arquitens intentionally tries to ram their ship into them with some successfully hitting the frigates as they explode violently destroying both ships in the process as they were packed with explosives.
At this point the battle was tipping towards the republic as some of the Terran ships were shooting their Mac guns at blank range to try and make space between each other as they were slowly being surrounded as their fighters and bombers were trying to pick as many enemies as possible.
As a venator fires it's turboblasters at a frigate the frigate fires a Mac round at it destroying it effectively, but the debris from the ship lands on them as it brings the ship down to the surface. The planet below would later be the graveyard for the souls who died on the ships.
"I didn't think I would have to use this as a backup plan." Captain lasky whispers to himself.
"Tell both experimental orbital defense platforms that they can fire when ready." Lasky says to his A.I.
"Yes sir." The A.I says back to him.
As the last of the frigates make it to the surface two white flashs can be seen going through a few venators before they explode into pieces seconds later. What can't be seen is two orbital defense platforms as they are cloaked and the only reason you would even be able to notice them was when they fired creating a large flash as they fired.
Those two shots from them destroyed five venators in those few seconds. With this unknown weapon lingering around the republic ships all turn around before they try making an escape as the remaining Terran ships try to destroy as many as they can before they go into hyperspace.
"Status report." Lasky says as the last remaining hostile ship leaves the battle.
"Enemy casualties. 25 ships lost. 10 arquitens ships and 14 venators destroyed." The A.I tells him.
"Allied ships lost. 4 ships lost. 4 Paris class frigates destroyed. Two marathon class frigates heavily damaged and 4 strident class frigates with minor damage." The A.I says.
"Most of our loses were because of suicide runs." Lasky says angry a little that they went with tactics like this.
"Whoever was in command of that fleet would have broke through this defense if the Infinity wasn't here." Lasky says looking at the aftermath of the battle.
Because the opening of the battle was like this. He had no doubt in his mind that the republic navy would now engage in mostly close combat with them for the remainder of the war. What the republic didn't know is that the ships that they destroyed and damaged were outdated ships with no forms of shielding, so of course they wouldn't compete in an a close range attack like that.
Because of this battle the slow updates of their outdated ships would take place in a few months.
Mandalore
On the streets of mandalore many people were protesting to join the war against the republic as many of them felt that they needed to help their ally against their old enemy.
With duchess satine her and one of her advisors can be seen an agrumemt
"For the last time we can't join this war. Even if the republic has committed a crime against out Ally it doesn't require us to join their war." Satine says angrily.
"They would have done the same for us if they had the chance. Besides this is what our people want. We have been in the backstage far too long" Her advisor says back to him.
"Even if I wanted too I don't believe that we are ready to even join a war." She says to him.
The advisor only sighs before speaking again.
"Then I am sorry for this." He says sadly as a squad of mandalorians arrives in the hall handcuffing her taking her away as she tries tell him how this will end badly for them.
"What is the meaning of this. You can't be serious about this." She says in disbelief.
"Us joining this war will put us in shambles. Just look at what war has done to our planet." She says.
"Yes, but the outcome of us joining will have us on top especially with an Ally we can rely on." He says as she gets taken to a prisoner cell where she will stay at until she can be trusted to follow their plans.
"Our people have been in the shadows for far too long. It was only a matter of time before this happened duchess satine. Our people cannot be pacifist like this for too long." He says facing the city.
"We will show them why us mandalorians were the most fearsome warriors in the galaxy." He says as their preparations to join the war has begun.
