The floor wasn't free either. Stalagmites jutted up from the ground, some of their tips reaching up to meet with a stalactite above them. Between the ground spikes, small puddles of remnant water gathered, unable to escape through the smooth rock floor.
Here at the entrance, the cavern was both multiple meters wide and tall, but further in the cave, the space looked to diminish.
The air felt damp, and the noise of every droplet impacting the ground echoed through the cavern. Aside from the ever-falling water and the breathing of Edol's comrades, the area was eerily silent.
"This is incredible… I've never seen such a thing in a tomb before…"
Tori's voice whispered out, almost seeming to be afraid to break the dark serenity of the cavern.
"Yea… and I think I know what Levi meant by pitfalls now."
