The group began to introduce their names, no one cared if they were fake, the important thing was that there was a title to call each other by.
Suddenly, the light turned towards the highest platform in front of them, a young man of about 25 years old appeared holding a stick in his hand and standing calmly.
"Welcome to my empire, I am Karl, the Emperor of the Empire of Dawn, I welcome all the geniuses here."
"You, what is this nonsense you are talking about, get me out of here you scoundrel." A middle-aged man who looked arrogant and was wearing elegant clothes suddenly shouted.
Karl turned to him calmly and then tapped the stick on the ground lightly. Suddenly, a hole opened under the man and he fell into it, then the hole closed.
The place was quiet, those around him quickly moved away from the place and looked at Karl with horror and caution.
"Unfortunately, he missed a golden opportunity." Karl said calmly and then turned his gaze to the rest, after seeing their silence he spoke.
"I know that everyone has many questions, but before that Let me introduce my empire in a few sentences, then I will ask you a question that will determine your future.
A screen appeared behind him, showing a picture of a large star surrounded by many planets.
"What you see is the view outside this place."
Everyone fell silent, then everyone started to gasp as if they understood something. They looked at me nervously, anxiously, fearfully, and with all the other expressions.
Karl smiled and looked at them.
"It's nice to talk to smart people, so let's jump right into the question. Whoever wants to participate can go to the right, and whoever doesn't want to go to the left."
There was a long silence, then the voices of conversation began to rise. Those who still didn't understand the matter began to ask those around them. Despite their intelligence, there was a difference in their ability to comprehend.
Karl didn't bother them, but he waited for their answer and let them discuss among themselves.
The first to speak was the little girl wearing many rings, her name was Sakura, she was about 14 years old.
"Will the Earth be destroyed?"
Everyone held their breath and waited for the answer
"Yes and no" Karl gave them a vague answer
Everyone frowned, it seemed like he didn't say anything, but they were smart and quickly concluded that it would most likely be destroyed but not anytime soon
"Can I bring my Father ?" The quiet 19-year-old girl, her name is Mary, spoke
"Yes" Just a simple answer but it put most of them at ease
The dark-skinned man named Kevin moved to the right "Now I know why you chose me, I'm in"
After the dark-skinned man moved, people started choosing, Mary, Sakura, Soru, Shun and the rest moved to the right
They are smart and know what Karl wants from them and they got what they wanted too so there was no need to think
After two hours, about 10 people remained in the middle including Joseph, the man who wanted to get back to his daughter
"Can I ask a question?" '' He looked at Karl and asked with anticipation, and it seemed that everyone with him had the same question.
''Ask.'' Karl knew what he wanted, but still, he didn't like to be preemptive.
''Can you heal my daughter? I know you have all our data, so you know her illness.'' He was anticipating the answer.
''It seems that my answer will determine whether you give up or take the risk.'' Karl smiled and continued.
''Don't worry, it's simple.''
''Thank you.'' He said one word, his voice trembling, and then headed to the right, as the rest followed him eagerly.
