Chương 27: Liza: Party

It's been two years since I've arrived at this city. I do like it here, especially the freedom, the open minded people, the culture, the art, everything.

Unlike my homophobic country, the LGBT community and their principles were accepted over here in this metropolitan city and people dated openly without much fear.

When I turned sixteen, I was thrown into the world of dating . It seemed as though it was almost mandatory to either have a boyfriend or a girlfriend. Everyone was falling in love. I too wanted to taste its fruit but unfortunately mine was an unrequited one.

The fluctuating hormones, the sexual freedom that the city offered combined with the idea of falling in love made me want to tred forbidden paths. I wanted to explore my sexuality. What am I really? But most importantly, why I felt sexual urges towards Joan and not towards any other girls. I wanted answers.

"Hey Liz, babe, you coming for Olivia's birthday party or what?" asks Jessica, blowing her bubble gum.

"I don't know Jess. I'm not much of a party girl. "

"Ahh come on. What kind of sixteen year old hate parties? Hey.. I heard there's gonna be booze. We can get wasted girl. Besides there's gonna be lots of cute guys. Maybe even college boys." says Jessica, handing me the party flyer.

"I really don't know Jess."

"You know what!! You've been single for too long. We need to get you a boyfriend ASAP. You are coming with me and that's final. No excuses, okay? I'll come pick you up at around 8 o clock. Okay babe? "

"Okay". I mumble softly.

"See you at 8 then, bye. "

We arrive at the party house. Jessica was wearing a casual t shirt paired with blue jeans. I on the other hand wore a black coat paired with ripped black jeans and cream top.

The music, loud as thunder gave me goosebumps. Neon lights flashed everywhere. Girls and boys grooved to the music, eventually loosing their sense of mind to the beats. There was even an open bar.

"Hey we're only sixteen, we can't have alcohol." I tell Jessica refusing to drink the beer bottle that she gave me.

"Oh come on just live a little." shouted Jessica and later she forcefully made me drink the beer.

One bottle down..

Two bottles down..

Three and four bottles down...

When the alcohol finally kicked in, I lost control of my mind and body. Music roared in my ears, filling me in wild ecstasy. As the song got louder and louder, I couldn't help but dance to the sound of music. I felt like I was being pulled by an invisible thread into the crowd. I danced my heart out to the sound of the beat.

The next morning , I wake up and find myself lying next to a half naked girl.

What the hell happened yesterday?
