Ruthar held his head down as he faced the demon with fear in his heart. 'I can't see a way out...'

"I should kill you now, because of what your bloodline did to me years ago." Eleanor approached Ruthar with so much killing intent hunching her back and roughly grabbing his face to stare her directly in the eye.

Too bad he was still struggling from the pressure to look at her without squinting in agony.

"Let me have some fun from your suffering."

After she spoke the pressure dropped almost immediately and Ruthar got himself once more.

"Whatever they did to you is none of my problem! I am their illegitimate son, would I be here if I was theirs?" Ruthar knew very well demon could read the past memories and thoughts of people they stared in the eyes, this gave him a belief that he could persuade her some way. Or maybe it gave him an awkward feeling all his thoughts had been read up till now.

"I find your struggle very exhilarating, you really are interesting Ruthar Hellborn, but I want to see you sweet talk me out of killing you."

She was wise enough to figure that was his plan; his main skill revealed like the ass of a chicken.

Although this was Ruthar's plan.

Ruthar took a while to calm down before beginning; "you could have killed me when I passed out but did not, that's how i know you won't kill me now. Let's talk about buisness; what you fed me is it an eye?"

Eleanor grinned in excitement, "I knew you were interesting for a scholar."

"You fed me an eye to reincarnate into me after I die," Ruthar completed and he could see Eleanor's grin sharpen to his words. 'Just like the novel when demon want to reincarnate into a body they choose one with potential and when they do they either kill the vessel or wait for the vessel to grow in strength before doing so. That same case applies to me right now.'

Eleanor's grin depleted a bit to Ruthar's notice before spreading once again.

"You are very smart and special Ruthar Hellborn," she brought her face close to his and widened her mouth. Taking her tongue out she licked him by the cheek as though he was a delicacy. "From your memories I doubt if you actually are human or not. Or can you perhaps see the future?"

Ruthar gasped in shock unable to give a quick reply to the query. 'I did not predict this, but she cannot see any of my thoughts about the system or the novel, it's like a firewall blocking the thoughts.'

"So what do you plan to do with me?" Ruthar had long awaited a space to ask this question and found no better time than then.

"I would love your taste in a plate! Especially that smart brain of yours, it has to be juicy!" She licked his face again with her long tongue making him uncomfortable.

"Or I will give you what you want. Power to defeat Tomaha and your enemies. In turn you will entertain me and when you die I will take your body as my home?" Eleanor streched her hand to Ruthar as a form of contract and somewhat handshake.

'Only plagues would come from this deal but I am more than compelled to take it. A deal from an ancient power, is this the will of the soul system? This must be the reason why it brought me here at this moment and sent me to catch fishes at night, I wonder if the system has something to do with the ruler of this world?'

Ruthar raised his hand and slowly wrapped his soft palm around the Demon's cold ones.

"What's your real name?" Ruthar asked in curiosity.

"Vance Crescent Stars."

Ruthar grinned bitterly from the notification he saw next, 'She finds interest in watching me... Sounds like me when I watch anime all day.'

"Let's get to the first lesson Ruthar Hellborn."

Now Ruthar and Vance sat down on the wooden flooring of the hut as she explained about her powers and her being an evil spirit trying to make it sound very scary and shocking to Ruthar.

That made no mark in his confidence apparently. What he was most interested in was her abilities.

'I can't see that, but I really want to know how far she can see into my mind? Does she know I was reincarnated? Or can she see my former life?'

Ruthar thought it through for another while before concluding: 'She couldn't have seen it, if not why would she be so calm?'

"Ruthar!" Vance yelled out capturing Ruthar's dissuaded attention. "You might be a scholar but you better listen to what I am about to tell you right now."

Ruthar nodded giving his undivided attention now. Knowing this would have an impact on his future or so.

"What I fed to you yesterday was one of my demon eyes, I fed you the eye of foresight." As she said this Ruthar let out a sigh of worry.

"Are you a demon lord?" Ruthar's question incited another grin from Vance.

"You are right, I am a demon lord, so you should know how powerful I am," she got a nod in reply and an unexpected look of blankness from Ruthar. The average human would gasp or scream out after getting confirmation. Guessing Ruthar was not the average Human after all.

"For the next few months before you turn eight I will teach you how to grow Demonic Mana and use that Mana to Activate the demonic eye of foresight," Vance waited for a reaction from Ruthar and got a simple nod. She was sure he already decoded her words to his own understanding.

"No one can defeat a man who can predict the next outcomes, I see what you are aiming at."

'This must have been what the system wanted me to gain, I can never win a battle with Tomaha just by hard work alone... I needed a cheat skill, Not just any but...'

Ruthar smiled malevolently at Vance in excitement, 'A demonic cheat skill.'
