Time passed and the weekend landed again. Grandma's checkup session had finally come.
The three of them ate a simple breakfast before dawn so they could get to the hospital early.
They scheduled it in the morning, so not only could Naia accompany them at least at first, but grandma would be able to rest well after that.
"Here, eat more," Leon said, putting some of his own food on hers.
Now that they had been together for almost a month, Leon had noticed that her appetite was actually still increasing.
Naia blinked and looked at his bowl. Leon chuckled and took a spoon of rice and fed her. "Don't feel bad, you're the one working today. I'm just going to sit around with grandma the whole day."
Thinking it made sense, she nodded, happily eating a bit more today.
The family went to the bus stop together, with Grandma sitting at the window seat with Naia, and Leon sitting right behind them.
Poor kid.
