After a while, the people went out of the trailer and Manager Lan has already gathered the needed evidence to pinpoint the person responsible for this trouble. Plus they also saw three pill bottles in Jack Li's coat which could incriminate him further in this crime.
Meanwhile, on the set, the crew was suddenly baffled when they saw a bunch of police officers suddenly arriving.
At this time, the face of Wan Mei Mei has a wide smile on them. She just watches the drama that is going to happen. She could not wait for the result of her machinations. Though it has been long since she played this kind of thing to any of those females who crossed her, she still remembers the exhilaration she has felt upon doing such a thing.
It's addicting and very satisfying for her part as someone who schemed and ruins those stupid girls who dared cross her.
At this time, she has also finished her part in the commercial shoot and is going to directly go home.
However, all of the people in this commercial shoot were blocked off by the police and were not permitted to go before the investigation is finished.
But what baffled everyone at this time is that someone is actually missing and that someone is Ma Liling. The crew began to discuss what the police has told them. This is because the police said that a person has intruded on Ma Liling's trailer and assaulted her bodyguard who is resting inside the trailer.
It is said that the man deliberately entered that trailer as he thought that it was Ma Liling who was inside, but then he was caught off-guard by her female bodyguard.
Everyone's eyes look in the direction of the woman wearing a black overcoat and a black suit. Her short hair and strong stance made those who look at her feel like they are looking at a soldier. The woman is wearing slick dark shades and has an ordinary-looking face.
Everyone in the set could not even infer her as Ma Liling from her looks.
Even Manager Lan who would sometimes throw glances at her talent just silently cooperated with the police as she was truly astounded at Ma Liling's acting prowess and ability.
After a couple of hours of investigation, it was already around 8 in the evening. This time, Jack Li has already been taken by the police to the nearest police station and he was followed by his accomplices, which are Wan Mei Mei's assistant.
According to the investigation, the assistant accepted everything and that she was the one who is angry at Ma Liling for looking down on her boss, so she did such a thing.
Although it was not the desired result of Manager Lan, Min Feiyang, and Ma Liling, it was already enough to at least incriminate Wan Mei Mei's name with this crime.
Before leaving the set, Wan Mei Mei approached director Gao and the crew.
"Everyone I'm really sorry for what my assistant did. I truly did not know that she was so determined to take revenge on those who wronged me." Wan Mei Mei said with a pitiful tone.
But one could infringe from her words that she is trying to blame Ma Liling for this event. And that Ma Liling actually wronged her. But everyone just kept their silence; they did not want to offend this scheming woman.
Meanwhile, everyone was still in awe of how Ma Liling seems to have been missing from the set. Manager Lan explained that Ma Liling left early after she did not feel better.
And so everything ended with the crew and director Gao having dinner together for the successful commercial shoot. While manager Lan, Min Feiyang, and the female bodyguard (Ma Liling) left the set and got on the company van.
"Sister Liling… you really are good in your acting. I almost could not believe that you are the same person. You look and acted really differently… It's like you are another person…"
"Haha… Silly girl, how could she win those awards if your boss is a simple 3rd rate actress. Once she set her mind into something she would thoroughly change…" Manager Lan said with a proud smile on her face.
As Ma Liling's manager for many years, she has already seen many sides of Ma Liling and she was truly astonished at this talented girl.
"You two praised me too much… Sigh… That Wan Mei Mei is truly a wicked little girl. I did not expect that she would do such a thing." Ma Liling said as she began removing her wig and makeup.
Not long later, a fresh and angelic face appears. Still wearing the suit and the black overcoat, Ma Liling now looks like a secret agent or a big executive of a company.
As they came back to the company, Ma Liling did not hesitate and secretly called her husband Yu Bai just in case he gets worried about her. When Yu Bai picks up the call, he was in the kitchen cooking. In fact, he just arrived and thought that Ma Mian was already at home, but upon seeing that no one is at home, he immediately thought that she might be in a meeting or in an event somewhere.
As someone from the business world, he knew how hard that low-level personnel works for the company especially those in the entertainment business.
Suddenly, he heard his phone ringing.
"Hello! Honey…" Yu Bai said with a sweet smile on his face.
"Hello, Yu Bai… I'm going to be a little late as we still have a meeting." Ma Mian said in a whisper as she is in the parking space inside her car.
"It is fine, I already cooked dinner… I'll wait for you, we can have dinner together."
"Thank you… See you at home… Love you."
"Yeah, See you, I love you too..."
The two blushed upon saying those words. Although they are newlywed, they still feel a bit awkward in saying those lovey-dovey words.
Ma Lining chuckled and quickly alighted from the car and went up to the CEO's office. Not long later Ma Mian went out of the office and walks towards the main entrance of the company. She feels excited to go home and have dinner with the man she loves.
Ma Mian suddenly remembers something from their past while walking down the walkway of the company.
