Chương 4: Chapter 4

As Mary Ann is taken aback by someone's sudden confession in the letter, she recalls her maid.

Mary Ann pretended nothing had happened as the sun rose. Lady Elsa looks at her and wonders if she read the letter. She felt she should have written her name or spoken to her, but she was too nervous to do so.

"Mary Ann," she addresses her.

"Yes, my Lady," Mary responds.

" I would like to go the dressmaker to decide a dress, Please inform the head butler about this while you leave" informs the lady

"Certainly My Lady" Answers Mary

Lady Elsa smiles as she walks out of the room. She can't wait to see the dressmaker because she wants to thank Mary for the fireworks. But just thinking about her made her blush.

It could have been fate. That's what she was thinking when she saw Mary Ann join. She was likened to a porcelain doll by the maid. She liked her and always wanted to be with Mary because the other noble girls didn't like her, but Mary Ann was the only one who drew her in. She grew closer to the maid. But she is nervous because she prefers to like a girl to love a man.

She recalls when the dance instructor made her practice from time to time, she noticed Mary Ann was upset and later she was the one who wiped and massaged her legs, she could feel the little fingers touching her legs made her feel goosebumps. Mary Ann was always concerned and treated like a friend rather than a master-servant. Whenever Elsa felt lonely, even though her parents didn't mind what she did, Mary Ann was always by her side.

It's been four to five months, and our relationship is still that of a servant and a crush in her heart. Perhaps it was at that point that she realized the sensation she was experiencing was love flowing towards her.

The more they learn about Mary's interests, the better excuse they have to talk to her town. She usually called Mary for tea or to read books because she needed someone to accompany her. Mary, who was illiterate, took advantage of the opportunity to teach her to read and write. Mary was a quick learner, and her lessons were simple to grasp. When she said "thank you," her face flushed and she looked down, and she was very cute.

Lady Elsa, who socialized with many nobles, didn't like it when others talked to her, but since she was able to talk to Mary and talk a lot with her, that fact was blown away by the happiness she had felt.

She doesn't get to talk to Mary after her shifts end, so she always takes advantage of breaks to talk to her. Lady Elsa spends more time with Mary Ann and never calls the other maids, which makes Mary Ann feel strange. She even told Ann to call her by name when no one was around, but she felt uneasy about it. However, looking at how She feels happier as she spends more time learning and connecting with Lady Elsa.

Even if they always start with some nonsense talk, they eventually get into it to the point where Lady Elsa doesn't realize how long time has passed.

Lady Elsa wonders what her feelings are for Ann. She doesn't get it no matter what she tries. The answer can be found only in her heart.

She loves Ann, and when she found out, she couldn't figure out what kind of love she felt. As a companion? Admiration? Or is it something else? Her mind has been going in circles since then, and she hasn't been able to move forward.

Back to Mary Ann, she had a feeling she had seen these handwriting and when she checked, she was shocked! ...

Lady Elsa's handwriting was very similar to that of that letter, and she could tell because she always looked at her notes, a proper yet unbelievably cute handwriting. She wasn't sure if she meant it as a friend or if she was turning out to be like the girls in the Love novels she used to read.

Lady Elsa left to attend her uncle's wine party, leaving Mary to clean up the lady's study. She knew no one could enter because Lady Elsa only had the key and she only trusted her maid to look after her. Mary Ann quickly went to the study, where she carefully took the letter and compared the writing after unlocking the drawer with the key and pulling it out.

Mary Ann's heart skipped a beat as she quickly found the section with Elsa's handwriting and compared it to the letter's.

"No way, no how. Unbelievable"

Her heart became like a puzzle with all the pieces scattered around with happines at its center. All this time, she have been serving the lady and never felt like the lady actually loved her. She liked her more than a friend. While realising, she too got into the stars, when she saw her in the moonlight and compared her to a moon Goddess.

Her heart beats faster the more she thinks about it. Her body was hot not because of the heat, but because of the amount of blood her heart was pumping.

But...I...I'm not sure what I should do now." She thought to herself, "I know her love, but Lady Elsa's love might be different." Her love could be friends or close friends, and it could be different from mine. She was curious. Feelings that contradict... Despite the fact that they are both growing in size, they are doing so in perfect equilibrium.

Her face flushed every time she looked into Lady Elsa's eyes, and as a result, the time she spent serving with the lady together shrank significantly.
