A few days passed after the festival. The first signs of the rainy season's end began to appear. The only thing left to do is wait until summer. The clear weather, constantly having clear days, and clearing Mary's heart as she continued to dry the sheets and nearly her shift was about to end, after serving the Princess her meal and dressing her to bed, as she bid her goodbye, she considered going back to her room to finish her book she borrowed from the royal library, as the evening still reddened the sky, telling her it was already time for her to be free.
The rest of the maids left the palace in a hurry, as was customary. She, on the other hand, was still in the locker room, opening it and going to change her dress. When she heard from the staff quarters that the letters had arrived, she quickly tied her ponytail and dashed to check her family's letters.
When her name was called as she rushed to the staff to hand over the letters, she was greeted with a large package of goods.
"Wow, Mary!... that's a huge package you got there," one of the maids exclaimed. "It's farming season, Mother must have sent some fresh marmalade from my hometown, I will take my time in the kitchen to make some marmalade jam," Mary Ann replied. "Oh, please make some for us," another maid added. "Don't worry girls, there's plenty for everyone and will send the chef to serve for the lady and Duke family
As she walks away, the staff handling the letters discovers another letter and says, "Hey, Ms. Ann, there's a letter for you."
"From Mother," Mary Ann inquires.
"No, just your name," the staff replied.
As he handed it over, she discovered a white letter with a seal and the words "To Mary Ann" written in a beautiful calligraphic handwriting with feminine letters. Because her name was written on it, I assumed it was intended for me, but there was no sender.
The maids try to summon her as she tries to open the door.
"Wait a minute, I'll be right there!" Mary Ann exclaimed as she grabbed the packages and dashed towards her friends. She stuffed the white letter into the pocket of her uniform.
After all, she won't be able to read it until she's finished reporting to the head Butler. She had a good supper and spent some time talking with my e friends before she did it.
Something was out of the ordinary as they enjoyed their leisure time. She was too curious to find out who wrote it because the letter smelled of perfume, and she knew her mother is allergic to perfume.
She walked past the Lady's house on her way back to the Maid's dorm, taking a long bath and making some tea to soothe herself, but her mind was only on the letter. It's not a big deal, but she can't get it out of her head. I'm curious who it's from. She was curious as to what was written in it. Inside, she was filled with apprehension as her emotions shook with it.
As she returned to her room and sat to unpack the package her family had sent, she discovered a lot of fruits and arranged them properly, giving half of them to the palace chef because her family had sent a lot.
She was tired as she went to the kitchen to hand over the goods and jumped to her bed, thinking she was forgetting something but she'll check once it comes to mind because she's tired now.
Before she closed her eyes, the letter became lodged in the back of her mind and refused to leave. She stood up and took the letter in her hands. She was nervous as she saw the envelope because within it was this thin letter; she is sure there are some words in it, but even without knowing its contents, it was enough to make its way into the deepest parts of my mind. She couldn't stop wondering what was written in it.
She went up to her desk and examined the letter s. She ripped off the seal, and two white letters fell out.
The first one she read had the same roundish letters as the outside. The sender's name was nowhere to be found. Instead, one sentence caused my heart to skip a beat. A wave of emotion washed over her.
"I adore you, Mary Ann."
As if a volcano erupted inside her head, her body began to heat up and wouldn't stop, and everything became a shambles.
"Love"
This was the first letter she had ever received, let alone a love confession. Just these four letters caused her heart to squeeze to the point of pain. But she has no one with whom she can share her feelings. She is at a loss for what to do. She was so confused after reading something like that that she lost track of time, and before she knew it, it was time to sleep, and the dorm maid always checks to see if the maids are awake and punishes them with more chores. She didn't want to do any more housework. Instead of, she was intrigued as to who would have written such a letter, and they even had similar handwriting.
As the writer finished writing the letter, it put on the fragrance, applied the seal, and sighed, revealing itself to be none other than the lady Elsa herself. As she lies in bed, she can't help but think of Mary's eyes. She flushed and hid her face behind the pillow. "I'm hoping Mary received my letter."
