Chương 18: I’m a Big Bird

Biên tập viên: Noodletown Translations

Su Xiqin led Mo Jintian to the men's washroom. When they got to the washroom area, she halted and let Mo Jintian go in by himself on his short legs.

When Mo Jintian walked into the men's washroom, he saw a tall figure standing by a urinal. Mo Jintian walked up to one of the urinals, took off his pants with a bent back, and grabbed onto his little birdie with his small hand.

"Shhh…" Mo Jintian uttered as the urine hit the urinal, making the same noise.

Mo Jintian's actions caught the attention of the person, who had western facial features, standing next to him. The person seemed slightly shocked as he turned around.

Little Milk Bun also turned over. Since Little Milk Bun was shorter, he was able to see something directly. When he saw that thing, Little Milk Bun frowned and asked, "Why is your little birdie's color different from mine?"

The face of the man standing next to Little Milke Bun sank. Did I hear correctly? Little Birdie?

"Your little birdie looks so ugly! Mine is cuter." Little Milk Bun looked at the man with disdain and then turned back to watch his own little birdie shoot out pee from a distance.

Bai Yansen was still pondering deeply about the term "little birdie" and didn't react right away. He then looked over to Little Milk Bun's birdie that was truly little and lightly scoffed subconsciously.

Mo Jintian had finished peeing, so he shook his little birdie and get rid of the pee off its tip. Then, he bent down and pull his pants back up.

He asked, "Uncle, what are you laughing at?"

[TL Note: It is considered a courtesy to address people as uncles, aunts, grandpa, and grandma based on their age in China.]

Bai Yansen did not bother to respond but instead pulled up his zipper and walked towards the sink. He turned the faucet, put his hands under the water, and started rubbing them together.

Mo Jintian chased after him and continued to ask, "What do you mean? Why aren't you answering me?"

Bai Yansen finished washing his hands and turned over to look down on Little Milk Bun casually. "You're childish," he said and turned off the water. Then, he picked up some paper towel on the side and wiped his long fingers dry.

Mo Jintian was so frustrated by the attitude that he pouted and forgot about washing his hands after peeing. He opened his eyes widely and glared at Bai Yansen. "I'm a kid. It's normal to be childish as a kid. On the contrary, Uncle, you're childish to be so fussy with a kid."

Bai Yansen was stunned for a few seconds by the little guy's eloquence. He tossed away the rolled-up paper tower, looked down at the boy, and said, "I really should have made you pay for those shoes earlier."

Mo Jintian was now anxious upon hearing that. Looking up with furrowed brows, he said, "True men keep their words. Earlier, you said I don't need to pay, but now you want me to pay for it? Since you said earlier that I don't need to, I won't do it even if you go back on your words now."

"You came alone?" Bai Yansen suddenly changed the topic and asked a question back.

Although Mo Jintian was smart, he was still a child. With such a sudden question, Mo Jintian couldn't react quickly enough, so he instinctually pointed his chubby finger at the door and said, "My mommy is waiting outside for me."

When he finished this sentence, Mo Jintian reacted and knew he screwed up. He shouldn't have said that Su Xiqin was outside because the man would ask her to compensate for the shoes once he walked out, and she would definitely pay him. Su Xiqin's money was hard-earned, and he didn't want to add pressure to her.

Realizing all this, Mo Jintian raised his small brows and said, "Why are you asking this? You promised me you won't make my mommy pay. You can't ask her now!" Little Milk Bun's face was all red, and veins were showing.

Bai Yansen had never seen a child with such an anxious expression. Mo Jintian's face was as red as cooked shrimp, and it was rather interesting to watch, so Bai Yansen wanted to tease the child a bit more. He bent down, looked at the boy at eye level, and said, "What if I do make your mommy pay?"

At that moment, Mo Jintian regretted his actions because he realized he shouldn't have followed this man into the washroom.

Seeing the different changes on the little boy's face, Bai Yansen's lips twirled slightly upwards.

Then, he heard the little boy say in a whiney voice, "Whoever eats his words is a little dog."

"Little dog?" he scoffed after saying that.

"Saying little birdie before and now mentioning little dog. You sure are a little kid." With a short pause, Bai Yansen added, "Mine is a big bird."
