(Concurrently at the Tunnel)
"No f***king way..." muttered Phineas, seeing the High Commissioner dishing out orders to the Zionist personnel like as if he's in charge.
Soon, a Lita with cybernetic limbs disembarked from the vehicle, a figure which Ariel and Nanami recognised.
"Kronos?!" they exclaimed. "Didn't we beat him into mush in London?"
"That's the Lita you 2 and Instructor Charlotte fought?" asked Louis.
"Yeah."
"Well to give you girls credit," quipped Sean, eyeing the bandages Kronos is in. "He looks like he was pressed into a blender."
"Then that Inari driver must be the French dude Big Sis fought," said Nanami.
Kronos and The High Commissioner are oblivious to the fact that they are stalked by Team Zero.
"The death of Dr Sterling is a regrettable one," said Kronos in an apologetic tone. "Nonetheless, he had done his part, its only a matter of time before Archangel produces a working prototype."
The High Commissioner sighed.
"Your operation in Spain has caused an immense amount of troubles, the boss is fuming that your shenanigans almost exposed the plot to UNSSD," he chided.
The High Commissioner could not see it, but the nerves on Kronos' bandaged face started to stick out from his rage.
"Nonetheless, I have to give you all credit for diverting the UNSSD SOC team towards the fusion reactor once it's certain that they will find out about Archangel, temporarily throwing them off the lead, with the unintended benefit of giving UNSSD a huge PR crisis," he commended.
Kronos' rage subsided. "But his is still a problem," he said spitefully, looking at a picture of Xiao Tian.
The High Commissioner chuckled. "Need not worry, he and his squad will be taken care of in due time, things are going smoothly."
"Though," he said, walking closer towards Kronos. "I am still curious over one thing, why did Vanguard agree to work with us humans?"
Kronos shrugged. "We require each others' expertise don't we? So why can't we cooperate? Didn't the Nazis also worked with the Japanese during WW2 despite claiming that Asians are inferior to Europeans?"
In the meantime, Xiao Tian gave the order to strike, with the goal now to take them all out. His group slowly moved forward.
3 sentries stood in front of them, scanning the surroundings. Using the thick rocks to cover them, Xiao Tian, Ariel and Jay slowly crept up to them, daggers drawn.
In an instant, the 3 struck, killing them quietly, carefully pulling the bodies back. Phineas and Louis remained at their positions, covering them.
Jay has his HK-416 locked tightly onto the High Commissioner, ready to shoot once Xiao Tian gives the order.
The High Commissioner nodded. "Once it's finished we split them 50-50, as agreed.
"In the meantime, continue to do each other's parts," he smiled, while giving a wave at "Spectre" on the vehicle.
"Spectre" bowed his head, then turning back, looking at the valley behind them. A smile crept into his lips.
Suddenly, a shot rang out, and soon Kronos is hit in the arm, his cybernetic left arm shot off by the shoulder using a .338 round, leaking the artificial blood everywhere. The impact of the shot threw him onto the floor.
"Ambush!" yelled the High Commissioner. Jay and Phineas opened fire, shooting him through his knees as Xiao Tian instructed them to, rendering him immobile.
In the exact same moment a loud "boom" is heard behind them after a series of quick machine gun firing as the 2 SAM vehicles are blown into the air after the fuel reserves are blown up, engulfing the area in a huge fireball.
"WHAT THE F*** BOOMBOX?!" cursed Xu Qing, shielding his eyes from the blast.
"I told you it will work," grinned James, continuing to fire on the Zionists with his KAC AMG machine gun.
Santos fired from his under barrel grenade launcher, blowing off a few stragglers.
With James suppressing them down, Nanami and Santos leaped out of the trench they are in, darting straight to the big chunks of debris, taking cover behind them, opening fire. Xu Qing and James soon converged behind them.
On the valley, Frederica ejected the spent casing of the .338 round from her CS/LR35. Sean continued to observe the battlefield, highlighting priority targets.
"Machine gunner on a technical, East side," said Sean.
Frederica adjusted her aim, and one pull of the trigger later the machine gunner ceased to be a threat to her comrades.
Nanami peeked out from her cover, firing at her front left with her AK-19. With James' machine gun fire pinning down the enemies and the sniper cover from Frederica and Sean, she threw a grenade, blasting off a few enemies hiding behind cover, pressing on her attack.
She slid behind another cover, lying on her right side, shooting the enemies. Xu Qing and Santos soon arrived behind her, firing on the enemies as James advanced to link up to them.
Xu Qing's QCQ-171 submachine gun ran out of bullets, but before he can reload, he noticed 2 enemies rushing over.
He quickly drew his QSZ-92A pistol, firing from behind cover, taking out one. The second one noticed him and fired. Xu Qing grunted, using his left hand to push himself back up from the ground, still keeping his pistol raised and firing. This allowed him to quickly withdraw back into the cover as he shoot, finishing off the enemy with a shot to the head.
He reloaded both of his guns, pressing on the assault with his comrades.
Meanwhile, Xiao Tian's group also pressed on their attack, soon approaching the downed Kronos and the High Commissioner. Xiao Tian switched to left hand shooting as he peeked out from another rock cluster, inching his face back as the right-ejecting mechanism of his custom QBZ-97 ejects round at a forward 45 degrees, ensuring that he will not be hit in the face by the spent casing.
"Spectre", who had taken cover in the vehicle once the shooting begun, saw them approaching.
"Sacrebleu..." he cursed in French, transforming into his "true form", a giant nine-tailed lion, bursting the hatch open with a huge energy blast that emitted a bright light beam that acted as a giant flashbang, causing Xiao Tian's team to too temporarily stop their attack to shield their eyes from the sudden burst of bright light, made worse by the fact that they are using NODs, which further amplified the flash intensity. Even Frederica and Sean looked away from their rifle scopes in order to avoid getting blinded by the light burst.
Seizing the chance, "Spectre" grabbed Kronos in one of his giant paws, dashing at unfathomable speeds into the tunnel, disappearing in a flash.
Xiao Tian's group recovered from the flash of light, seeing that they have already taken out all of the hostiles save for the High Commissioner, Nanami;s group converged in on them.
"All threats neutralised," reported Santos.
The High Commissioner reached for the chord to detonate his suicide vest he is wearing under his suit. Ariel saw what he was doing.
"STOP!" she yelled, raising her AUG A3SF rifle, firing into his neck, killing him.
"Sh*t..." muttered Phineas, reloading his rifle SIG 516.
"Kronos and the frenchie got away," said Nanami through gritted teeth. "Should we pursue?"
"Negative," said Xiao Tian, eyeing the wreckage of the SAM missiles carefully.
"What's wrong sir?" asked Jay.
Xiao Tian raised a piece of wreckage.
"This is the guidance system on the missile. It's a new system that works by tracking the data exchange between an aircraft with a satellite, rendering all current stealth methods and electronic countermeasures we have ineffective," he explained. "Such technology is still in development by UNSSD, so why is it here, in nowhere at Jerusalem?"
"If this is what shot us down, then that means that the data encryption of our plane had been cracked!" exclaimed Xu Qing. "But how can the Zionists have cracked it? Unless..."
"Someone from UNSSD gave it to them," muttered Jay in disbelief. "A high ranking traitor is among us in UNAME."
"No, not just UNAME," added Phineas, horrified at this discovery. "But also in the UNSSD higher-ups, that's why the missiles are here."
Just then, an alert popped up on their HUDs, telling them that the raid has been cancelled, ordering them to withdraw back to the UNAME base.
Sean, who was also in the loop via radio, voiced his suspicion.
"This feels like a trap somehow."
Xiao Tian concurred. "There is gun yet to be loaded in UNSSD. Once its loaded, we are all going to be shot in the back."
Just then, a loud "woosh" of a rocket engine is heard. The Team Zero members on the ground turned around, horrified.
"RPG!" yelled Nanami as they all dashed out of the way.
