Chương 5: Chapter 5: The legacy of Runes(Part 1)

I lay on my bed, gazing up at the sky adorned with millions of stars that were crowned by two moons.

One moon shimmered in serene blue hues, reminiscent of the calm sea, while the other glowed in a scarlet red, exuding a wild and chaotic energy akin to a bloodthirsty demon ready to feast.

As time passed, the two moons swelled in size, their magnificence captivating my gaze.

I remained rooted in place, not out of fear but out of sheer awe and excitement as they looked ethereal with an allure that could captivate even the strongest adventurers I have ever seen.

But soon, The expanding moons seemed to transform into the eyes of a colossal entity, hungry and eager to devour its prey.

The time seemed to freeze with me at the center, as if I were the chosen prey the entity decided to feast on at that moment.

"Didn't anyone else witness this phenomenon?"

I wondered briefly, but my focus swiftly returned to the celestial spectacle unfolding in front of me.

The world around me faded into insignificance as my mind, soul, and body became entranced by the magical dance with the hint of the brutality of the twin moons. It was a sensation unlike any other, a magical embrace that enveloped me entirely.

I don't know how I ended up here.

As I opened my eyes, I found myself lying on a soft bed of emerald-green grass under the shimmering canopy of a celestial forest. The air was filled with the gentle melody of unseen creatures, and the fragrance of exotic flowers perfumed every breath I took.

Raising my gaze to the sky, I was spellbound by the sight that greeted me. Three moons hung majestically above, each casting its unique aura upon the land.

The first was a tranquil orb of azure, mirroring the calmness of a serene ocean at twilight. Its soft glow bathed everything in a soothing light, casting gentle shadows that danced with the breeze.

Beside it, the second moon burned with a scarlet hue, reminiscent of a bloodthirsty demon's gaze. Its fiery radiance contrasted starkly against the peaceful blue, casting eerie crimson shadows that seemed to pulse with a life of their own. Yet, there was a strange allure in its chaos, drawing the eye with a mixture of fear and fascination.

Rising amidst the azure and scarlet orbs, the third moon held a mysterious allure that sent shivers down my spine. It was a void of darkness, a pitch-black sphere that seemed to absorb all light around it. Unlike its celestial companions, which radiated with distinct energies, this moon exuded an unsettling stillness, as if it held secrets too ancient and profound for mortal understanding.

I couldn't even gaze at it for a second before I felt a searing pain in my head.

As I sat up, my senses awakened to the magic of this realm. I could feel the pulse of mana flowing through the very earth beneath me, a tangible energy that whispered of ancient mysteries waiting to be unraveled.

"I could sense mana."

I whispered to myself, tears welling up in my eyes at the realization.

Mana, a force of wonders I had never imagined experiencing again after that fateful day, now coursed through my being, filling me with a sense of strength and vitality.

After reeling in the sensation of extreme joy, and feeling the mana coursing inside my body for some time, I looked at my surroundings once again.

"Dream.."

It was the first thing that came to my mind after looking at the surroundings, the excitement I had dropping to its lowest as the forest I was standing in, the otherworldly canopies filled to the brim with greenery, and the three moons reminiscent of the most beautiful pearls, weren't part of the world I lived in.

And the mana coursing through my body, it was the greatest proof that everything around me was fake, a construct made by my imagination.

But.....

I wanted to get trapped in this dream, the construct of my imagination for eternity, never to awake in the reality I loathed.

"I had everything here."

I ran my fingers across my face and felt the dampness of tears that had flowed freely.

Then I looked at the sky filled with millions of stars and two moons, they looked nothing like the ones in my dreams.

The first moon, once a vision of serene beauty with its shimmering blue hues, now appeared as nothing more than a cold, lifeless orb of rock, lacking the ethereal allure it once held in my dreams.

As for the second moon, a majestic crimson bloodthirsty beast in the sky, its once vibrant red hue dulled and faded, like a dying ember struggling to hold onto its unbound majesty.

The third and the most enigmatic one, it wasn't even present in the sky.

The sensation of mana, the strength, and vitality I held, everything.... everything was gone forever to live in my mind as an unattainable dream.

As I was drowning in deep sorrow something caught my attention.

The ethereal message that had taken me inside the dream and also threw me outside of it, forcing me to despair.

It was here, glowing tranquilly in the hue of azure. The scarlet and chaotic border contrasted yet eerily blended with the tranquil azure hue, reminiscent of the moons from my dream.

And the pitch-black letters that spelled the word 'Beep' exuded an air of mystery and profoundness that I shouldn't have been able to read or understand yet.

The serendipitous resemblance of this text with the moons in my dreams was enough to send a chill down my spine, forcing me to look down to avoid staring directly into it, lest I be swallowed by the arcane monster hidden inside.

As I stood there, transfixed by the enigmatic display, a sense of foreboding crept over me. It was as though the message was a key, it was the key to living that dream, the life as in my imagination.

I could sense the ethereal energy premating in the environment, and that same energy slowly entering my body, infusing my body with mana from the surroundings.

But!!

My hands were shaking, fearing the message in front of me was another dream. I feared it being another fleeting imagination that was going to drown me deeper into sorrow after disappearing just like the dream from earlier.

[Beep.....the ho*& @#$ @**$% aining the leg%$# ense the ^%na and losing hope even afte% $# diculed by the whole world.]

This text was somewhat incomprehensible but I was excited because the ethereal box containing the message was real, not some fleeting dream, reflecting my inner desire to transcend the mortal limits as other awakeners did.

The first thing I did after looking at the message and feeling the strengthening of my body, albeit at a pace several millions of times slower than that of a tortoise, was to slap myself as strongly as I could.

"The message was still there along with the sensation of strength."

Then, I splashed a dose of cold water on my face, it was chilling cold but I was happy since the message was still here.

Only after taking a bath in chilling water and seeing the message still flashing in front of me did I sigh in relief, a rare and genuine smile finally blooming on my face.

"Haha... I'm also an awakener!"

I laughed hysterically, tears sliding down my cheeks. It was a tear of happiness that broke out as I realized the denomination of the screen flashing in front of me.

It was the identity of any awakener, a unique essence, and understanding gained by them about themselves while awakening their potential. This enables them to assess their capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses with profound insight while also allowing them to methodically document and record every aspect of their being, creating a comprehensive and detailed profile of themselves.

As I was enjoying the sensation of mana permeating the air, dozens of messages started popping in front of my eyes.
