Chương 2: Train
The train continued down the tracks past fields and farms and country cottages. It was nice. He just stared out of the window as they then passed through a village with an abundance of kids with luggage and adults waving off children as they hopped onto the train.
He plugged his headphones into his phone and started to listen to music. He watched as the children were counted by conductors to make sure no 'false star children' made it on. John didn't care about the people around him. He had his luggage under his seat and was still homesick.
After ten or so minutes passed, the train doors slid closed the train waited a minute as the train driver activated his intercom, "We will continue on our journey to the starlight base HS8. We will go at the full speed of 450mph." The transmission cut as the driver started the train and started down the tracks.
The train reached full speed as it seemed like they were going at the speed of light. He didn't really care about the train as he started to regret even enlisting. After 20 minutes of cruising the train went round a bend.
They could see the sea. It reflected sunlight off the sea as John looked, it looked beautiful.
