TJ Apartments, 10:00 a.m.

Park Naeun woke up hearing her phone buzz. Sitting up in her bed, she smiled, seeing her best friend calling her.

This punk won't let me sleep in peace for even one day!

"Good Morning, my munchkin! How did you sleep?" A voice squeaked out the device startling Naeun.

Naeun was already aware of the fact that Lisa always called her in the morning as she knew Naeun had no family and nobody to take care of her.

"I slept well," Naeun replied. "What are you doing right now?"

"Nothing much. I'm eating right now in the cafeteria. It's break time at college. What are your plans for today? Can we hang out?"

Sorry Lisa...

Naeun sighed deeply before rejecting her friend's offer. "Sorry, but I am busy today Lisa, Maybe some other day?"

"It's fine. And don't you dare stress yourself missy. Clean the kitchen from last nights mess and remember to eat-"

"Yes Mom."

What will happen when this girl settles down? She'll probably treat me like one of her kids.

Nauen cut the call chuckling and getting up went to the bathroom to freshen up. Coming out, she selected a plain white shirt and denim shorts and went out the door, closing it behind her. But she came back in after 2 minutes and started searching for some different clothes in the closet.

I should try something different today. I look like an old grandma ready to take her dog out for a walk.

Naeun finally decided on a black crop top, and not realizing how beautiful she looked in a simple, plain shirt, she closed the door behind her, exiting the apartment.

After a 20 minute walk, she found herself standing outside the coffee shop where she worked part-time. She entered and went to the back to change her outfit, but her eye caught a man in a coffee shop uniform. He was a little taller than her and extremely handsome. Ignoring him, she walked past him, but suddenly her friend Rose appeared in front of her and dragged her into the changing room.

"Naeun, did you see the new guy at the reception? He is going to be working here from now on! Isn't he so handsome!"

Yep, totally is. I didn't even notice him on my way!

Naeun chuckled before nodding at her and started wearing her apron and tying her hair into a high ponytail.

"Did you notice that he was staring at you all the time since you entered?! How can you be so calm about this?" Rose asked, shocked at her friend's behavior.

Because he's a pervert whose job is to stare at girls shamelessly.

"Because I'm not interested in him, that's all," Naeun replied casually. And they both ran out together, hearing their boss call their names. Naeun, not knowing where she was going, bumped into a wall.

Where did a wall suddenly erupt from? Last time I remember it wasn't established here...

Looking up, she saw 'his' face. Contented but still embarrassed, she quickly said, "Sorry," and automatically went back in the changing room to find Rose already standing there, wiggling her eyebrows.

And here she goes again.

"What?" Naeun questioned.

"His name is Kim Taehyun. He is 5'9 inches tall and is from Country B-"

Is she a spy or something? How did she know so much so soon?

"I am not interested in him, as I said before. And here," she said, placing some money on Rose's palm.

"Are you paying me to shut up?" Rose asked, offended.

I wish!

"No, it's the money I borrowed from you yesterday."

"It's ok, no need-" but Rose quickly sealed her lips after receiving a killer gaze from Naeun. They both went out to their places, and Naeun's partner turned out to be the hard-chested guy she bumped into earlier.

Great. The pervert from earlier.

"Hey." Said the new guy, and Naeun smiled in return to his.

Don't worry handsome guy, I'll soon wipe that smirk off your face.

"Hello, Mr. Kim Taehyun. Nice to meet you too."

"Looks like you already know my name," he said. "Did you, by any chance, search me up?"

Like hell.

"I like to know the names of my colleagues and co-workers before starting a job."

"Oh, really Miss Naeun? Didn't you start this job a week ago?" He asked, smirking.

Looks like I was right, as always. He is shameless.

"Looks like you searched me up too, Mister."

She arranged all the cups and utensils on the counter and then looked up to hear his answer but instead, he winked.

Bro, shamelessness has limits too, you know.

"How about a proper introduction?" said Taehyun."My name is Kim Taehyun and, I'm from Country B."

"My name is Park Naeun, and I'm from here, Country A."

But before they could start talking further, the customer started coming in, and they both got busy with their work.

Thank god his mouth finally shut up.

After completing her work in the coffee shop, Naeun went straight to the café, which was a 10-minute walk, and since she hadn't had breakfast, she quickly took a shortcut into a dark alleyway. It was very dark and creepy but, Naeun got out and started to feel someone follow her. She quickened her pace and felt somebody right behind her. She ran into the café and grabbed the arm of the nearest man who was about to exit the shop.

"Mister, please help me. Somebody is following me, and I'm in danger. Please help me!"

The man stared at her for a second and then smirked, moving his face close to hers.

Damn it! What's with pervert guys these days?

"And what will you give me in return for my help?" he asked.

"Anything."
