Chương 6: Betrayal
The battle between Hyun Jae and me was long and challenging. We were both evenly matched, each using our most powerful abilities to gain the upper hand.
Clang! I blocked his attack with my sword, feeling the vibrations run up my arm. Hyun Jae was a skilled fighter, but I was determined to come out on top.
Zap! Hyun Jae's psychic powers surged towards me, but I used my newly stolen abilities to deflect them back towards him.
"You're not the same person I once knew," Hyun Jae said, his voice strained as he dodged my attacks.
"Neither are you," I replied, my voice cold and calculated. "You were always too weak to keep up with me."
Crack! Hyun Jae's energy shield shattered under my relentless assault, and I saw a look of shock cross his face.
But even as I began to gain the upper hand, I knew that I couldn't let my guard down. Hyun Jae was a crafty opponent, and I had to stay on my toes if I wanted to defeat him.
Boom! A powerful blast of energy knocked me back, and I felt my body hit the ground hard.
I struggled to get back on my feet, my muscles aching and my head spinning. But even as I staggered, I refused to give up.
Whoosh! I leapt back into the fray, my stolen abilities fueling my attacks. And finally, after what felt like an eternity, I emerged victorious.
I stood over Hyun Jae's prone form, panting and covered in sweat. I could see the fear in his eyes, and I knew that he realized that he had underestimated me.
And then, without hesitation, I used the power of the crystal to steal Hyun Jae's abilities for myself.
As his powers flowed into me, I felt an incredible rush of energy. It was like nothing I had ever experienced before, and I knew that I had become even more unstoppable than before.
I turned and walked away, leaving Hyun Jae lying on the ground behind me. It was a small victory, but it was one that I would savor for a long time to come.
It turned out that he had an ability he didn't know how to use, but I do.
The crystal lets you copy the ability and master it immediately, so i immediately knew how tp use this ability. Whoa! I hit the jackpot. If Hyun Jae knew how to use this ability, I would have been a goner.
I might as well use it because Hyun Jae would be dangerous if I fought him on another timeline or in another life. I might as well make sure I don't.
I erased him from existence with his own ability.
Not just from this timeline or the future, but from all timelines, past, present, and future. Even in alternate timelines, there would be no trace of him in existence. It was as if he had never existed at all.
Crackle! The air around me shimmered with power, and I knew that I was on the path to greatness. Nothing could stop me now.
