Chương 77: The Pit Part Seven

I decide I don't want to stick around and find out how horrible this monster is knowing it'll be bad. Everything down here ends up being a hundred times worse than my imagination. I take off running at full speed in full panic not caring about where I was going as long as I got away from this thing.

Fig holds on for dear life as I run blindly. The laughter picks back up but now it's louder like a cackle. "Kahaha!! Where are you going... don't you want to play with us? We want to play with you.. we've been down here for so long... don't go!!" By the end multiple voices were yelling and screaming as I bring my shaking hands to my ears to block it out.

I quickly come to a stop when I see a large gate of some kind blocking my only exit. I hear the monster behind us creeping up as it whispers "Look at me..." I freeze but refuse to turn around to look. I have a really bad feeling that looking at this thing would mean my end.. "The bottom!" Fig whispers loudly and I nearly cry in relief.

There was a small opening at the bottom just large enough for us to crawl under. I quickly drop down and crawl towards the opening. The creature behind us screams "LOOK AT ME!!!!" and starts coming at us faster. To my horror I realize that it's dragging itself by the sounds of it and I catch myself about to look. Don't look... don't look.. I say over and over as I smash myself down as much as possible.

It was so tight I was having trouble breathing as I quickly pull myself through but find myself getting stuck. The monster behind us is screaming while dragging it's large body closer and closer and I'm having a panic attack kicking and pulling with everything I have. Fig jumps down and grabs my dress, pulling as hard as he can to help me through.

I can feel tears falling as I grit my teeth at the pure panic and fear I feel at being stuck as the monster is almost on me. I feel my skin tearing and bleeding from the abrasive ground and gate but I couldn't care less.. I'm pretty sure I'd chew my own foot off to get away at this moment! I push with everything I have and I make it to the other side.

My chest rises up and down rapidly as I sit and try to calm my racing heart. Suddenly I'm pulled back with a large hand wrapped around the end of my dress. The hand had large discolored fingers with wicked looking nails. This time I do scream as the creature tries to pull me back under the gate! Fig grabs me again as he tries to help me. I lean away and start stripping out of the dress doing everything in my power to keep the creepy hand from grabbing me.

I fall on the ground and keep crawling until I'm a safe distance away and watch as the hand pulls my dress away. Shortly after it lets out a blood curdling scream that has Fig and I both jumping and covering our ears in fear.
